Jamie Hayter is on her way to the biggest match of her career in AEW. She will face Toni Storm for the Interim AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear, and Storm is someone she knows very well. Tonight, Hayter has a tune up match, as she teams with ally and former Women’s World Champion in Britt Baker – taking on the duo of Skye Blue and her wrestling coach, Madison Rayne.

Blackpool Combat Club Have Clear Issues With Chris Jericho

Before this match, we’d hear from Claudio Castagnoli. He’d be asked about his issues with Chris Jericho. He has no issues with Jericho doing whatever he wants to defend the belt – but that’s not the case with attacking retired men like Jerry Lynn, or non-wrestlers like Ian Riccaboni. Bryan Danielson would detail the reasons he hates Jericho, but Rampage is simply not long enough.

Both Danielson & Castagnoli are former ROH World Champions – and if Jericho wants to destroy the legacy of Ring of Honor, he better choose which man to face. Danielson feels he just needs one more shot at Jericho, while Castagnoli still wants his rematch to try and reclaim the belt Jericho cheated to win.

Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter Show Tag Team Dominance

Rayne would kick things off with Hayter, grabbing a wrist lock and getting the tag to Blue. Hayter blocked an arm drag and threw Blue into the corner, missing a running splash. Blue would come off the top rope with a crossbody, getting a two count. Hayter looked for a scoop slam, with Blue slipping out – only to be tossed throat first into the top rope.

Baker would get the tag as Blue would find herself isolated in the wrong corner of the ring. Blue would be dropped with a sling blade – but was able to kick out before three. Baker would nearly be caught with a quick pinfall attempt, but forced her shoulders back off the mat. Hayter would get the tag and nail a powerslam, and locked in a tight rear chinlock.

Blue would be mocked as Hayter would yell for her to come on, letting the hold go before a stiff forearm to the neck. A superkick would catch Hayter, and Blue would be able to work her way to a tag – despite the efforts of Baker. Rayne would hit the ring, catching her old rival with a neckbreaker for a two count.

Hayter would hit the with a big backbreaker, with Blue rushing in behind her for a backstabber. Baker would hit a Swinging Neckbreaker, with Blue breaking the following pinfall up. Dual thrust kicks from Hayter & Baker would land, before Hayter would block a Crucifix Bomb and hit the Ripcord Lariat for the win.
