In Tennessee, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two suspects in connection to the death of Chelsie Walker. The 24-year-old mother of two went missing on October 29, 2022 and was initially said to be last seen at a Madison area Walmart. Walker worked as an online order deliverer for the store.

The announcement was made on November 13 and includes an update that detectives found that Walker was actually last seen at a home in Tellico Plains, a small town of under a thousand in Monroe County.
Sheriff Tommy Jones said that charges were in the works but didn’t reveal much else surrounding the charges and the suspects.
According to the Sheriff’s statement, deputies and officers from the Madisonville Police Department found the remains of Chelsie Walker “in a remote area in Monroe County.”
The Madisonville community came together for a candlelight vigil in honor of Chelsie Walker shortly before the Sheriff’s update. Those who knew her best shared fond memories and kind words about the young mother.
Her mother, Tracy Smith said that she’d like Chelsie to be remembered as:
“Fun loving, childlike, lighthearted, young woman who tried her best, and did her best to be the best person in this world that she could ever be.”
