Paddy Pimblett hops on the conspiracy train and claims that Jake Paul fights are rigged. The UFC raising star who is about to fight at the UFC 282 believes that Jake Paul paid Anderson Silva to lose.
Paddy Pimblett watched the Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva fight and he thinks that there are moments into the fight where you can notice that there is something ‘fishy’ going on.
Paddy Pimblett Claims Jake Paul Fights Are Rigged
The UFC star who will fight Jared Gordon in December claims that Jake Paul’s win over Tyron Woodley is legitimate. However, when you compare it to the Anderson Silva fight there are obvious differences in the way both fighters act.
The breakthrough moment that gives in that the fight is rigged, is when Jake Paul knocked down Silva. Just before the end of the match Silva appears to receive a jab and loses balance. According to Paddy Pimblett, the punch didn’t even land on Silva’s head.
Paddy Pimblett reveals that he occasionally likes to watch boxing. However, he is not a fan of ‘YouTube boxing‘. He believes that YouTubers in general do not take the sport seriously. Nevertheless, he had some praise for Jake Paul as well. He believes that Jake Paul is legitimately good at boxing. However, according to Paddy Pimblett, that doesn’t mean that he won’t fix fights.
“I give Jake Paul his due now. He’s training that much he probably could beat some professional boxers.” – Paddy Pimblett said. “Because he’s got that much money, he’s got unlimited funds and he hasn’t got to do anything else. He hasn’t got to go and do a job all he’s got to do is box.”
“He gets the best coaches in, the best nutritionists in, and stuff like that, Jake Paul is actually not that bad now. Even though I think his fights are fixed.” “Do you really feel that Jake Paul is fixing his fights?” – the host of the podcast asked Pimblett.
“Yeah, but I don’t think Jake Paul fixed Tyron Woodley knockout. When you get a knock out like that and you land face first, if you’re not unconscious you’d put your arms out, you can’t help it that’s a human reaction. I saw an angle of a punch he hit Anderson Silva with the other day where he sat down and he didn’t even hit him.”
Jake Paul on the other hand denies anything to do with fixing fights. He constantly denies the claims, blaming it all on his ‘haters’. There were rumors that claim he even added a ‘no knockout’ clause in his first bout against Tyron Woodley. However, for their rematch, he added an extra clause encouraging a knockout ending.
“Look, it’s a bunch of losers trying to make s*** up to get in the headlines. To get reporters to ask about that exact question and have their name into the mix so they can get a little bit of clout.” – Jake Paul said. “Having a ‘no knockout clause’ in a contract – I’ve never heard of that. It’s highly illegal, I would be in jail. That’s like rigging a fight. I would be in prison if that were a real thing. It’s all nonsense, it’s all bulls*** and they have exactly what they want out of it. Which was for people to mention their name.”
