WWE and NXT’s final premium live event of the year takes place on Saturday. While NXT remains in a strange place six months after HHH took over creative direction of WWE, I think that this show is something that could start to clear things up and bring a new direction to NXT.
Alba Fyre vs Isla Dawn
I will be the first person to admit that I don’t know the most about the NXT women’s division past what they put on television week to week.
These are two women that I have saw but don’t know much about. For this match, there is heat because Isla Dawn cost Alba Fyre her NXT Women’s Championship match against Mandy Rose.
I think that with Isla Dawn being the new woman here, she should pick up the win, especially if they plan on doing a longer program between the two.
Alba Fyre is hanging around the women’s championship scene and I don’t think that a loss or two will hurt her.
Winner: Isla Dawn
Pretty Deadly vs The New Day – NXT Tag Team Championship
Pretty Deadly is an awesome act and they have really been carrying the NXT tag team division on their backs. They are talented and not to serious, which is something that has been running rampart in wrestling nowadays.
While I think that this even as a whole will be used to sort of reset many things for NXT and give them a clean slate, I think that the one constant that they need is Pretty Deadly leading the tag division.
New Day coming to NXT to put over the newer guys is great and with both of the teams being fun acts, expect this match to be nothing less than… fun.
New Day loses nothing from taking a loss here and it will help build up Pretty Deadly for when they eventually get called up to Raw or Smackdown.
Winners: Pretty Deadly
Bron Breakker vs Apollo Crews- NXT World Championship
This match is an interesting one to predict. While in any normal situation, I would say that there is no way that Bron Breakker would lose to Apollo Crews, I think that it is time for Bron to move on to the main roster.
Should Apollo Crews be the one to take the title off of him? Why not? He has experience and has been dealt a bad hand after he left NXT the first time.
Apollo is just as talented as anyone on the NXT roster and I could see him being a great transitional champion, until they are ready to put the title on a new person.
If NXT want to have any hope of getting back to being anywhere close to the level of NXT in it’s glory days, they have to take away the last remaining fingerprints of Vince. In this case, that means Bron Breakker and Mandy Rose.
Winner: Apollo Crews
