With Christmas just around the corner, the NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly have an idea how to get everyone into the Christmas spirit. They are going to tell everyone a Christmas Story tonight, and had a whole week to come up with this. Knowing Kit Wilson & Elton Prince – this could be anything.
Pretty Deadly Have Beaten Everyone Except The New Day
Hitting the ring dressed in ugly sweaters and matching hats, before opening up the Pretty Deadly Christmas Story. Prince would sit on the lap of Wilson, and said they wrote this story themself.
Twas the night before Christmas, and no one was stirring – not even a mouse. However Kit & Elton were hanging out with the bulging sacks overflowing. They wanted more than just being on TV, begging for Santa to send a tag team who can match their skills as a tag team. It finished with them promising that 2023 will once again be the year of Pretty Deadly.
The music of The New Day would hit, seemingly here to challenge the NXT Tag Team Champions as NXT Deadline. They might have beaten everyone in NXT, but they never beat The New Day. The New Day took a swing before being dropped. Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods would take the champions out – and could be adding more gold to their trophy case.
Isla Dawn Didn’t Need Witchcraft To Defeat Thea Hail
Earlier tonight, Andre Chase was unable to qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge, but one member of Chase U still has a chance to get a win tonight. The youngest member of the NXT roster in Thea Hail has a big time match tonight, as she goes one on one with the White Witch of NXT, Isla Dawn. Dawn made her debut, shoving Alba Fyre off a ladder in a Last Woman Standing match, and tonight the NXT UK standout lets everyone in America know why you don’t cross a witch.
Dawn would come to the ring with purpose in her eyes – before locking up with Hail in the ring. She’d shove Hail to the floor before a rushing stomp the chest of Hail. She’d apply a Cobra Clutch in the middle of the ring, Hail unable to escape the hold. Hail would finally break free and hit some running elbow smashes before an exploder suplex and a springboard senton for a two count.
Dawn would block a wheelbarrow bulldog into a hair pull before nailing the Final Cut. Hail would kick out, and Dawn would simply set the move up again and took Hail down for the victory. After the bell, Fyre would hit the ring to brawl with Dawn – with a swarm of referees separating them. Dawn sprayed some poison mist, but got a referee instead.
