The AEW roster is the land of plenty. There are a lot of wrestlers on both sides of the roster that I could probably get ten teams out of this. Hopefully, there is plans for a pair of AEW women’s tag team titles in the future because there is a lot of untapped potential there also.
Luchasaurus and Parker Boudreaux
This one is purely for Parker Boudreaux. I understand that he recently got into a stable with Swerve Strickland, but he desperately needs help to learn how to actually be a good big man.
This is something that AEW struggles with making despite having multiple talented big men on their roster.
It is getting to the point where I want to say that Parker is a lost cause despite him being very young. He has gone through training at the WWE Performance Center and whatever training system that AEW has and he still isn’t very good.
Not only this but there are no signs of him getting better. That is not good because he looks like someone that has promise as someone that could be big. The constant comparisons that he gets to Brock Lesnar doesn’t help either.
Luchasaurus’ only job is to show him how to be a proper big man. He could’ve been swapped out for any big man on the roster that actually know how to be a big man. His job is not to get Boudreaux over, even though he probably could, its just to make him a better performer.
Diamante and Mercedes Martinez
Diamante is someone that I see often on AEW Dark and Dark Elevation and I think that she has a very cool character and she is pretty good in the ring. Martinez is also solid, even though I don’t see much of a ceiling for her.
I really like the potential of Diamante but I think that she is limited because AEW have a lot of other women that they probably want to push instead of her. Even though I would like to see her get pushed, it’s probably not likely.
I think that if AEW get a set of women’s tag team titles, I wouldn’t mind if this team were the first champions as a heel team and eventually dropped it to a face team.
This would be a way to get two talented women onto the program at the same time.
Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale
Skye Blue has the potential to be a top babyface in the AEW if she keeps on working. She is better in the ring than I previously gave her credit for and she has a great look.
Willow on the other hand is someone that I really don’t like because of her constantly playing to the crowd. It really lowers the quality of her matches, which I don’t think be very good in the first place.
Despite my personal problems with her, I will say that the fan LOVE Willow and that is all that matters. She also has the potential to be a top babyface in the company.
These two women together is a win win because I don’t see any of these women getting big singles pushes because of the women that they already have in the company.
I wouldn’t mind seeing these two be cornerstones of the women’s tag team division when it eventually comes to AEW.
