When The Acclaimed first made their All Elite Wrestling debut, few people expected them to become one of the top teams in the entire company. However, the duo of Max Caster & Anthony Bowens are proof that hard work and making a genuine connection with fans can make a star in professional wrestling. The in-ring skills of The Acclaimed have improved immensely – but their skills with a microphone have been clear since Max Caster first rapped his way down to the ring.
Anthony Bowens Says Everything Tasteful Is Up For Grabs For Max Caster’s Raps
While speaking on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast – Anthony Bowens would talk about his tag team partners pre-match raps, and where the line is.
“I’m grateful to have you know, every time when the siren hits, people lose their minds, because they want to hear what Caster has to say. Because you never know what he’s gonna say, that’s the beauty of him having a live microphone. We hit on just about everything, which seems to make people upset with certain things. But it’s like, if it’s news, we don’t operate within the realm of we have to live in a bubble of just our company. If it’s news, if it’s out there, if it happened, it’s up for grabs. Obviously, if it’s tasteful. But, you know, we will touch on anything, and that’s the way it’s gonna continue to be, so get used to it.”
Only once Caster had a rap changed, dropping a line about Simone Biles and having it edited out of the episode. Beyond that, Caster has just been handed a live microphone and given the trust to not land the company in hot water. He recently would get into a spot of controversy by bringing up the wife of Jeff Jarrett, prompting her to fire off on him on social media.
Needless to say, the raps are a key part of The Acclaimed and their popularity, and at this point – AEW would be wise to remain hands off with them, as Caster has proven reliable.
