Formerly known as Big Cass in WWE, few wrestlers have pushed themselves as hard as Big Bill has. Initially just viewed as a simple tag team wrestler in WWE alongside Enzo Amore, a run in Impact Wrestling would prove that he has all the skills to be a main event wrestler. Following his initial AEW debut as an opponent of Wardlow, Big Bill has consistently impressed fans – and has a steady role right now as part of The Firm. However, he knows he’s set for bigger things in the future.
Big Bill Likes Running With The Firm, Feels Singles Run Is Inevitable
During an interview with Comedy Store Wrestling, the former W. Morrissey would discuss a potential singles run in AEW.
“It’s going to happen eventually. It’s a mutually beneficial experience right now for everybody in The Firm. Getting opportunities, helping each other out. As far as a singles run without The Firm, I have no idea, right now, we’re just doing what we have to do to find success in AEW. Teaming up, whether that’s tag team matches or helping each other backstage or whatever it is. We were put together for a reason and we’re sticking with it right now. I don’t know when a singles run will happen. Right now, I’m really enjoying working with Lee and Stokely, Ethan Page is awesome and the Gunns are great.”
Simply put, the combination of Big Bill’s size and skill and the promo skills of Stokely Hathaway is a main event deal. Ethan Page is another potential main event star from The Firm, but is one of the best promos on the roster without someone like Stokely.
Deal With MJF Got Kiboshed Pretty Quickly
In the same interview, Big Bill would discuss how the original plans for The Firm working for MJF went out the window pretty quickly.
“Whatever was planned got kiboshed pretty quickly. After that, we’ve been making the best of it. Stokely, myself, and Lee working together has been pretty good. What we just did with Jungle Boy and HOOK was really fun. The fans liked it and it did really good numbers, I don’t know if I want to talk about that. It was entertaining and people liked it. It was a fun thing to do. There is traction there, for sure.”

Big Bill is the powerhouse of AEW faction The Firm – but he knows he’s got potential to be a breakout star.
