In 2022, Harry took part in a revealing chat with Hoda Kotb from the TODAY show. And as part of that process, he opened up about his family’s life in America and the Invictus Games.
In a segment from the interview, Harry was depicted in a posture of leaning forward and stroking the inner part of his lower leg. That got Mahler’s attention since she had never seen it before.
In her comments, she said: “You’ll notice that he puts his hands on the inside of his knees and tries to withdraw, and they call that turtling.
“Nobody does that, nobody does that! Nobody puts their hands in – I’ve never seen that and I’ve never done that in my life. The man wants to disappear – he’s not comfortable.”
Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following points. First of all, Harry is not going to come across as well as Meghan Markle, given that the latter is a seasoned actress by profession.
Secondly, even if Harry did show some signs of being nervous, that is understandable given the fact that he had been so vocal against his family since leaving the firm in 2020. Regardless of what the case may have been, Louise made it clear that the Duke of Sussex had a lot on his mind.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “While he’s thinking, he looks down and to his left, which may indicate he feels sadness or thinking about a moment which causes him unhappiness.”
The social media response was damning. A certain subset of people felt that Harry’s body language was indicative of him not telling the truth. One person wrote: “Wish he would go back in his shell and stay there.”
