WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues tonight, Sami Zayn and co – now calling themselves the Artist Collective I guess – are out here for our opening match, they face off with Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak.
Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan & Drew Gulak
Chain wrestling to start with. Bryan takes quick advantage, tags in Gulak who continues it but Shinsuke powers him to the heel corner where Cesaro tags in. Takes control, gets him in a headscissor but Bryan escapes, charges but gets taken back in the hold. Bryan escapes, kicks to both men, suicide dive to Shinsuke! Off the top rope with a Crossbody but Cesaro catches him out of the air for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Several more stutters. I’m curious if this is just my feed or not. After a commercial break, we come back to see Bryan being taken to with double team strikes, Nakamura gets Bryan with the Taiji Ishimori Sliding German Suplex. Snapmare, kneedrop to the face for a 2 count.
Cesaro tags in, hooks Bryan into a waistlock. Deadlifts him from the mat, big Gutwrench Suplex for a nearfall. Forearm in the corner, irish whips, charging european uppercuts, Bryan stops this with a standing dropkick. Makes the tag to Drew Gulak, who comes in with a running dropkick to Shinsuke! Huge German Suplex, bridge for a nearfall! Dragon Sleeper attempted, Nak counters into an arm bar but Drew pins the shoulders down for 2. Double teaming commences, Nakamura gets Gulak with a charging knee, whips him into the Very European Uppercut from Cesaro for a nearfall, Bryan has to break it up.
Shinsuke tags in, nails him with a front suplex. Charges for the Kinshasa, but Gulak counters with a lariat! Cesaro tags in, short uppercuts, very stiff. Back body drop, but Gulak lands on his feet for a Sunset Flip attempt, Cesaro has too strong a base though. Cesaro pulls him to his feet but Gulak hooks him as Bryan blind tags in, Gulak holds him place for a sunset flip! As Bryan pins Cesaro, Gulak keeps Shinsuke from coming into the ring, a win for the babyfaces!
Winners: Drew Gulak & Daniel Bryan
Sami Zayn is furious at the referee for allowing this, continually calls his team the good guys. We then hear that later on we’ll be seeing the John Cena/Bray Wyatt WrestleMania 30 match. I figured we’d see that at some point, their feud is based around so it makes sense.
