Prince Harry Releases Promo Video For WellChild As Another UK Visit Could Follow-‘I’ve Been Immensely Grateful For The Work That WellChild Does’
Harry invited people to submit nominations for the 2023 WellChild Awards, which recognise and celebrate children and the individuals that care for them who have had an inspiring impact on their lives.
Harry has been an advocate for the organization since 2007. He has carried on his support since leaving the Royal Family in 2020, and this was most recently seen just last year.
When Queen Elizabeth passed away, Harry and Meghan Markle were in the U.K. to attend the WellChild Awards. While the event did not go ahead following the late monarch’s death, Meghan had already accompanied Harry to the award ceremony in both 2018 and 2019.
With that being said, Harry praised the organisation’s work. In the video here, Harry can be heard saying the following: “For the past 15 years that I’ve been a patron.
“I’ve been immensely grateful for the work that WellChild does and moved by the stories I hear and the people I meet. For children and young people with complex medical needs, WellChild provides high-quality care services.”
The response on social media was very positive for the Duke of Sussex. For all the criticisms that he has received for the publishing of his tell-all memoir, large numbers of people got behind him in spreading this cause.
One person wrote: “How very nice to support the charity truly dedicated,” while another person stated: “Prince Harry appears in [a] personal video message to support one of his long standing U.K. charities…How can anyone not like this.”
It is great to see Harry giving back to such a good cause. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
