WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues after that airing of the WrestleMania John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match. It was the logical thing to do but kinda funny timing, with the Exalted One at ringside for the whole thing. Then, out comes the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions John Morrison and the Miz out here for a non-title match against Heavy Machinery. But first, we have a backstage interview with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, asked about the Kabuki Warriors. Nikki grabs the mic and starts yelling, furious at their sneak attack. Alexa calms her down and takes the title as well, says if you want to play that game, that’s fine because she can play it much better. Suggests that next week Asuka come through the front door and face her in the ring.
Then there’s another segment of the Dirt Sheet.
Morrison claims to have taught himself how to whip and nae nae. Miz says something seems to be missing tonight. Not just the fans… but No. 1 Contender’s for their tag titles! They decide to ask the audience who their challengers should be. We then cut to a few camera shots of Miz & Morrison in pre-tapes, pretending to be fans of New Day, the Usos and Heavy Machinery, taking the time to mock them all. Morrison is dressed as a unicorn on the New Day side, and they come to realize that it’s actually really stupid. They’re dressed as bacon on the Machinery side and get really frustrated about nobody taking them seriously before storming off yelling about their cholesterol being too high for this. For the Usos, well they’re just dressed like the Usos.
Ultimately they reason that even those strangely handsome fans can’t decide who the challengers should be. But Heavy Machinery actually make their way out for their match against the champs.
