Royal expert, Richard Palmer, noted that the biggest shortcoming of Prince Harry was recognizable even before his marriage to Meghan Markle.
Harry’s Issues With The Media Were Evident Before He Met Meghan-Says Richard Palmer
This comment was made in relation to Harry’s grievances with the media intrusion before he met the Duchess of Sussex.
Before 2016, Palmer travelled to the United States with the Duke of Sussex and it was there that his fixation with media attention was revealed.
It is said that Harry eagerly read the press reports for the occasion and was especially interested in the public’s opinions about him.
The royal analyst highlighted the fact that those in the public eye should have a ‘thick skin,’ something which Harry has failed to show.
In his comments, Palmer said: “I think one of Harry’s biggest faults actually is that he does pay an overt amout of attention to what is written about him and his wife.
“Now I think he just lumps everybody in together in the media. He used to spend a lot of time pouring over the comments from the public in online stories.”
This may explain why Harry has been so vocal about the media intrusion that he alleges. He accused the firm of leaking stories about him and Meghan, and yet, he has been accused of doing a similar thing when it came to his memoir, Spare.
In addition, Harry’s attempt at setting the narrative straight has not gone down well, as he has just received further backlash. This was seen during a parody episode by South Park.
The Prince and Princess of Canada, two characters, were featured in the episode, being depicted as a youthful regal pair who relocated to a small municipality in order to preserve their privacy, yet their presence continued to be highly noticed.
