At present, there is no indication from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about whether they are going to be present for the crowning of King Charles III on his coronation.
Harry And Meghan Remain Coy On Whether They Will Attend Charles’ Coronation-‘They Are Still Undecided’
After the Netflix series and Harry’s memoir were released, it has been speculated that the Royal Family was uneasy with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attending Charles’s coronation.
It is generally accepted that the two were invited to the occasion. As such, Harry and Meghan would be sorry if they did not make the trip to England for the King’s crowning.
Royal expert Russel Myers had this to say: “They will obviously be invited — the King wouldn’t be so churlish to not invite them — but I am told from people who are very close to the Sussexes that they are still undecided about coming.
“I definitely think they will come. Why would they want to pass up the opportunity?” Their presence may be an advantage for the couple for the following reasons.
First of all, it could give them a genuine opportunity to reconcile if that was their intention. Secondly, there is also the chance that the couple could use the event for further projects down the line if they wanted to address the visit or use it for material.
Lastly, in any event, it could be a chance for the couple to introduce their children to the nation. After all, the coronation is on the same day as Archie’s fourth birthday.
The social media response was much the same. A certain subset of people were convinced that the couple would regret this if they did not attend, as it would show they had no intention of repairing bridges.
One person wrote: “Of course they’ll regret it. Not too many people get a chance to see their father anointed king of anything. But they opened their mouths.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
