In the aftermath of the Triple Threat match at AEW Revolution for Jamie Hayters AEW Women’s World Championship – we would finally see the true colours of Ruby Soho. She was being pulled in two different directions, being asked to side with both the newcomers from WWE and the AEW originals. In the end, she would choose to align with Toni Storm & Saraya, not Hayter & Britt Baker. Tonight, Soho is in action – as he goes one on one with an AEW original in Skye Blue.
Ruby Soho Explains Her Actions, Crushes Skye Blue
Before this match, Soho would have a chance to speak about her actions from Sunday – Renee Paquette asking why. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, as the AEW fans caused this. Every time Soho entered a big match, AEW fans were happy to see her lose to people like Britt Baker and mad to see her beat Kris Statlander.
When Hayter pinned her – Soho snapped, realising no one in AEW was going to help her – so she would side with two people who got the same amount of respect as her from AEW fans. Both Toni Storm & Saraya have been disrespected – outsiders from the start. They all came from WWE to try to rebuild this division, but the foundation made by AEW originals is horrible – so the only solution is to tear it all down and start fresh.
Skye Blue would rush the ring trying to shut Soho up, being kicked in the ribs before being pulled to the floor. Blue would be whipped into the ring post, and back in the ring took a stiff enziguri before a Back Heel Trip dropped her on her head. Soho would keep the pressure on Blue, hitting a thrust kick in the ropes before the Backdrop Driver in the middle of the ring.
Blue would be able to regain some control with a crossbody splash from the middle rope. Code Blue was avoided, with Soho hitting a thrust kick before Destination Unknown for the dominant victory. Soho is on another level after the AEW Revolution – and Hayter would be wise to watch out.
Willow Nightingale would try to talk some reason into Soho after the bell, being a former partner of Sohos. She would be beaten down three on one, and having an L painted on her chest by Saraya.
Hangman Page Proved He Can Blacken His Heart When Needed
Hangman Page put a definitive end to his issues with Jon Moxley this past Sunday, defeating the 3 time AEW World Champion in a violent Texas Deathmatch. This was a much needed big victory for Page, who has had issues getting back into the main event scene after losing the AEW World Championship to CM Punk. Tonight, we will hear from Page as we hopefully get an idea of his next steps.
Page was sporting a black eye, saying that Sunday was hard – but he proved that he can blacken his heart when needed. If you push him, Page will drag you down to hell and leave you laying in a pool of your own blood. He’s finished with Jon Moxley after this match, and would apologise to Renee Paquette for what he did to her husband.
Page will be needing some recovery time after that violent brawl, but whoever picks a fight with him next will now know just how far Page is willing to go when pushed to the edge. This is the best Page we’ve ever seen in AEW, with no cracks in his confidence anymore – which makes him an incredibly dangerous man.
FTR Send Clear Message To The Gunns
After the AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Revolution, FTR would make their return and broke The Gunns down. The Gunns had previously tried to send FTR packing from AEW, only to take the Shatter Machine & Mindbreaker. Tonight, we hear from them – but as they hit the ring, it was hard to be heard over the crowd.
They missed being out infront of AEW fans, and while 2022 was a great year – they had a rough few months. Losing three sets of tag titles in a month is hard, and losing one of their best friends was even harder. They needed a rest, but they couldn’t sit home and watch The Gunns say they’re the best tag team in the world today.
Maybe someday they will reach that level – right now, they’re just spoiled brats. FTR are ready to fight for the fans of AEW once again, and after having their best trilogy of matches ever – The Gunns ruined their last moment with Jay Briscoe. They need to beat The Gunns, become two time AEW World Tag Team Champions, and they’re doing it for themselves, The Briscoes and AEW fans everyone.
Can FTR become AEW World Tag Team Champions? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
