If you want to get violent in the AEW women’s division, there’s not much stopping you. Anna Jay & Tay Melo previously proved this over a year ago, when they met The Bunny & Penelope Ford in a Street Fight on AEW Rampage. This year, Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale are the ones who have an issue with TayJay, and tonight – they’re ready to once again prove that they’re just as violent as the men on the roster – if not more so.
Friday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)
Soho & Willow would not even allow TayJay to make their entrances. Dressed in attire that calls back to The Dudleys, Soho would ask for Willow to get the tables – which was set up by the ramp, before they brawled down to the ring. Jay would smash Soho face first into the ring bell, before placing a trash can over the head of Soho.
Double stomp would follow from Tay, and Soho was bleeding already. Willow would bring the fight in the ring, as four chairs would hit the ring. Everyone would take a seat and start trading forearm smashes in the middle of the ring. Jay would go after the wound of Soho as Tay kicked Willow between the eyes.
On the floor, Willow & Jay would fight – with Willow using a trash can lid to fight Jay off. In the ring, the DDTay was hit onto a steel chair, before Tay would crack a kendo stick across the spine of Willow. Willow would try to use the trash can lid to help her up, only to have it kicked into her face. Gory Bomb would follow in the ring, with Willow dropped on the trash can.
Jay would look for the Barbed Wire Queenslayer on Willow, but Soho broke this up with a chain wrapped punch between the eyes of Jay. A Tower Of Doom would form in the corner, with Willow taking down TayJay & Soho all at once – all onto steel chairs. Willow would just whip Jay to the mat in nasty fashion, before setting up a trash can in her face in the corner.
Ruby Soho Puts An End To Tay Melo
Tay would make the save, only to take a spinebuster in the corner. Willow would hit the Cannonball Senton, crushing the trash can into Jay for a two count. Soho would prop a chair in the corner, as Willow hit Jay with a Death Valley Driver right on the apron. Babe With The Powerbomb on the floor was set, but Tay would fight to help Jay free.
Soho would hit the No Future Kick, before setting up the table at ringside. Willow & Jay would fly off the stage with a powerbomb through the table. Back at ringside, Tay would hit the Gotch Style Piledriver through the table, before rolling Soho into the ring for a two count. Tay would grab that iconic black bag and pour thumbtacks in the ring.
Gotch Style into the tags would be blocked, and Soho threw a handful of tacks in the face of Tay. Tay was thrown face first into the steel chair in the corner, before Destination Unknown into the tacks for the finish.
Is this the end of the issues between Soho & Melo? Will they need a Lights Out match next? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
