Jamie Hayter has been waging a war against The Outcasts lately, but her main role in AEW remains being the AEW Women’s World Champion. While Riho has helped fight off The Outcasts, her desire to become a 2x AEW Women’s World Champion is clear.
Tonight, she gets the chance to take the belt from Hayter – as they both look to remind everyone what a true AEW Women’s World Championship match looks like.
Jaime Hayter Works Her Way Past Riho In Nail Biting Match
Hayter would try to end things early with the Hayterade – with Riho blocking into a roll up for a two count. Riho would score another quick near fall with a hurricanrana, before trading pinfalls on the mat.
Hayter would move to her strikes to batter Riho, hitting a series of shoulder tackles – before Riho bridged out of a pinfall, and nailed a dropkick.
Riho would see Hayter roll to the floor, and kept the pressure on with a diving crossbody – Hayter’s head hitting the mats at ringside hard after impact.
Back in the ring, Hayter was groggy as Riho set up another crossbody, only to be caught into a gutbuster. They’d battle to the apron, with Riho trying for a Northern Lights Suplex – and Hayter blocking before a Uranage onto the apron.
Some heavy strikes in the corner would follow, with Riho showing she can hit as hard as Hayter can – only to take a Snap Jackhammer for a near fall.
Hayter would hit some quick bodyslams, before Riho hit the Flying Headscissor into the 619. Hayter would roll to her feet in time for a flying crossbody, but Riho was unable to score the pinfall.
Jackhammer was blocked, and Riho nailed some SnapDragon Suplexes for another close fall on the champion. Hayter would manage an Ushigoroshi before a sliding lariat for a near fall of her own.
Riho was able to block a brainbuster into a DDT, her perseverance shining through in this match.
Hayter would set Riho up on the top rope, with Riho able to battle back and hit the Frankenstiner. Double knee smash across the ring would follow, but Hayter got her foot on the bottom rope.
Two Hayterade Lariats would follow, and Jamie Hayter remains AEW Women’s World Champion.
The Acclaimed Rap Their Answer To The Jericho Appreciation Society
For the past few weeks, The Jericho Appreciation Society have been courting two of the best in AEW – The Acclaimed. Matt Menard & Angelo Parker took The Acclaimed out for a big night on the town in St. Louis – and tonight, The Acclaimed give their answer. They were very ready for the faction to grow – banking hard on it.
Max Caster would get a big pop from the hometown crowd, before saying they can’t join – as Chris Jericho is more full of shit than George Santos. J.A.S now means Just Acclaimed Scissoring – and Parker & Menard were confused.
From the sounds of the rap, it sounds like they want to fight… together! They even booked a match for Rampage, so The Acclaimed will have another chance to give the right answer.
MJF Is The Pride of Long Island
Whenever AEW comes to Long Island, it’s a great time to be AEW World Champion MJF. While he hates every other town in the United States, there’s just something about home that makes him want to celebrate.
He’s called for MJF Day – and hopes to have all of Long Island ready to celebrate with The Iron Man Of AEW, but it’s likely someone in the locker room will have some issue with this plan.
MJF got the key to the city and everything, being their hometown champion. If you want to be the best in the industry – you need to be AEW World Champion, and no one is beating a Long Islander for that belt.
He’d make his way to the ring with a live band playing him down – and it’s the only place in the world that MJF gets a true heroes welcome. MJF would even get in on the fun, signing Pennies From Heaven – showing he’s got layers to his talent.
MJF Cuts Promo On Teacher From 8th Grade Who Doubted Him
MJF would be called the Pride of Long Island, by Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino. They made an even bigger key to Long Island just for MJF – as he deserves the biggest and best. MJF would finally talk to his people, saying that there are some people who disagree with MJF day.
The likes of Jungle Boy, Darby Allin & Sammy Guevara all come to mind – but today isn’t about them, they aren’t important enough to have their own days.
MJF would tell a story of growing up with ADHD, and how it made him work harder than most to get through school. In 8th grade, one of his teachers would be less than sympathetic – laughing at him, and telling other students to not be like Mr. Friedman.
He was daydreaming about becoming a World Champion in Professional Wrestling, and his teacher said that would never happen – and boy was she wrong.
So if you’re a Long Island kid busting your ass, you can be anything you want to be – except MJF. MJF would look to make his way to the back, asking if everyone wanted an encore of his musical performance.
Someone would clap cymbals behind his head, and it was Jack Perry in disguise – taking this chance to beat down his rival in a brawl on the stage.
