‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) actor, Richard Burgi, recently shared about his personal struggles in an emotional Instagram post. He talked about his divorce experience, saying it was “painful and devastating.” He shared that the past one and a half years have been really tough oh him.

Richard Burgi, who plays the role of Ashland on ‘Young and the Restless’ decided to set the record straight about some misinformation going round on the internet. He said that one of his friends told him about how he was still listed as married on popular sites such as IMDb and Wikipedia.
He stated that this was just another setback in what he referred to as a “trying year and a half.” The actor also shared that he lost a job that’s not related to his talent. He also went through the process of ending his second marriage, which was a very painful.
The Young And The Restless: Burgi’s Emotional Road To Recovery
Richard returned to ‘Young and the Restless’ as Ashland Locke for just a short time. He joined the soap in March 2021, but he did not stay long because he unwittingly violated COVID protocols and they had to let him go.
Fans were not happy about his exit from the show. However, the character continued with “Guiding Light” alum Robert Newman. He interpreted the role until it’s dramatic conclusion, where he met a violent end.
However, it appears that the role interpreter, Richard Burgi’s personal life has been just as chaotic as his on screen life.
After the actor divorced his first wife, Lori Kahn, with whom he shares two boys, he moved on with Lilian Lope and they exchanged vows in February 2012. However, it appears that she is not his true love after all as the duo has gone their separate ways.
