Sammy Guevara was one of three men to fall short at AEW Double Or Nothing, when MJF retained his AEW World Championship in a Fatal Four Way match.
It was still a huge night for him, as he was able to announce that him & Tay Melo were going to be parents. Tonight, Guevara makes his return to AEW – as we see what is next for the three time TNT Champion.
CM Punk Has A Lot On His Chest Ahead Of AEW Collision
Before this interview, we’d get a video package from CM Punk – saying that the only thing certain about him is that nothing is certain.
He’s got scores to settle, things to do, and it all begins against this Saturday at Collision. Punk doesn’t know what he’ll say when he’s got a microphone in hand, but he’s got a lot on his chest.
Punk will be in action, as he teams with FTR to face Jay White, Juice Robinson & Samoa Joe. Rumours have placed Punk in a feud with either White or Joe. Regardless, this is his first time in the ring with Joe in 18 years – making this Saturday must see TV.
Chris Jericho Comes Face To Face With The Icon, Sting
Guevara would announce to the AEW fans in the arena that his baby will be a girl, noting that as a high in 2023. A low was coming that close to winning the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing.
However, the moment will be even sweeter with his baby girl in one arm, and the AEW World Championship in the other. Before that happens though, Guevara has to make some major choices – and possibly some changes.
Darby Allin would hit the ring, and said that he noticed that AEW fans are starting to love Guevara again. Allin has a question however – is Guevara going to stand on his own feet, or stand in the shadow of Chris Jericho. Unlike Allin & Sting, Guevara & Jericho don’t view each other as equals – and Allin knows what the right choice is.
Jericho would hit the ring, and would point out that Guevara didn’t ask him for advice even once on the build to Double or Nothing. If he asked for help, he’d be AEW World Champion. Guevara would point out that Jericho didn’t call him either, and maybe if he asked for help – he wouldn’t lose to Adam Cole… twice!
Jericho would demand that Guevara apologises for that comment, but Guevara would not back down. Guevara would be asked to team with Jericho next week, and Allin would get involved – saying that Jericho calls himself a magician, but the magic gone once the the bell rings. Jericho reminded Allin he’s alone, but Sting would march to the ring and get into the face of Jericho.
Both men were armed with bats leading to a stalemate as neither man would be intimidated. Jericho would back off first, leaving the ring – leaving a conflicted Guevara behind.
