WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues, our opening match is a WWE Women’s Tag Team title rematch, with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross now defending against the Kabuki Warriors.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross (c) vs. The Kabuki Warriors
The Kabuki Warriors immediately swarm on Alexa Bliss and isolate her into their corner. There’s a funny moment where Alexa escapes a double suplex attempt and sends forearms as it genuinely looks like they sped up the footage. Bliss with a jacknife cover for 1, Kairi fights back and stomps the toes for the advantage, tag to Asuka. Actually, they’re using two different types of cameras here and it’s kinda weird, both the resolution and framerate changing between camera cuts. Asuka takes Nikki off the apron, stomps Alexa into the corner. Alexa reaching but nobody’s there, Camel Clutch/Dropkick combo for a nearfall! Alexa with a standing dropkick. Nikki is still down somehow. Asuka leaves the ring to intercept Alexa with a hip attack! Gets atop the commentary table and grabs the headset to yell. Nikki Cross reappears and leaps up to the commentary table, tackles her off the table to the floor and pounds her chest as we go to commercial.
As we come back, now Nikki is being worked over. Kairi keeping her on the mat with kicks. Hoists her up but Cross with a sunset flip counter for 2. Scrambles for a tag but Sane stops her with a leaping elbow drop, cover for 2. Asuka tags in, knee lifts in the corner. Nikki with a roll-up for 2, trying to crawl across the ring. Asuka pulls her up, wants a Back Suplex but Cross stops that with a Bulldog, tag to Alexa! Series of clotheslines to Sane, bunch of chops, standing dropkick, Insult To Injury but Sane avoids the moonsault portion, Interceptor! Takes a moment to gloat before covering for the nearfall. Pulls Alexa up but eats a big haymaker. Tag to Nikki, they try a double suplex but Asuka rushes in to interrupt it with a big roundhouse kick to Alexa, Kairi with a Spinning Backfist to Nikki! Asuka gets Nikki on her shoulders in Powerbomb position, Kairi with a flying forearm off the top rope taking her to the mat!
Asuka cinches her into the Asukalock, Alexa has to break it up, Kairi with a Blockbuster! Tags in, up top for the Insane Elbow but Nikki avoids it, tag to Alexa once more. Avoids the backfist, kick to the gut, hooks for the DDT and after a lengthy delay to get in position, hits it pretty sloppily, Asuka drags Kairi out of the ring to break up the pin. Big knee to the face of Nikki lays her out, Alexa up top, Twisted Bliss to the floor takes out the Kabuki Warriors! Bliss throws Kairi into the ring. Wants the regular Twisted Bliss, Sane avoids it, clothesline ducked, tag to Nikki, Twisting Neckbreaker for the victory.
Winners: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
I really hope in the future they start re-shooting stuff when it goes wrong, there’s just no reason to show blatant slip-ups anymore and there should never be any awkward pauses either.
