We’re just one day away from AEW All In – the biggest show in the history of the company. Many of the biggest names in the company are ready for action on that show, but tonight on AEW Collision – we have a massive 8 man tag team match.
On one side we have Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, Luchasaurus & Jay White, and the other has Sting, Darby Allin, CM Punk and one partner yet to be announced. It’s just a sign of how deep the AEW roster is, and promises to be an excellent showing for what to expect at All In.
Samoa Joe Promises To Stay Out Of Trouble
Before this star studded main event got started, Samoa Joe would hit the ring. Tomorrow, he faces longtime rival CM Punk – and he can’t interfere with the main event, as it would mean jeopardising the match in Wembley. He will instead join commentary so everyone can keep an eye on him tonight.
Joining CM Punk, Sting & Darby Allin is a man who made an impact earlier in the show, being former FTW Champion HOOK. He will be in action tomorrow night, facing Jack Perry for the FTW Championship.
Swerve would kick things off with CM Punk – showing their technical skills and speed. Punk was looking at essentially a younger version of himself, but nearly caught him with the Go To Sleep.
Swerve would slip free and get a tag to White, who would get a cheap shot in on Allin from the apron. Allin was brought in to grapple with Switchblade, but when a tag to Sting was teased – White would scramble to tag the TNT Champion Luchasaurus. Sting would get some hard punches in, before setting up Luchasaurus in the corner.
Stinger Splash would land before a Coffin Splash, with Punk trying to get in on the fun but being stopped by Luchasaurus. Brian Cage got the tag, and would put the beatdown on Punk, using his power to throw the self proclaimed ‘Real World Champion’ around. Punk would be isolated in the hostile corner of the ring, and White was leading the calculated attack.
CM Punk Sends A Clear Message
Swerve would apply a Cross Armed Clutch in the middle of the ring, sapping some energy from Punk before hitting a back elbow and a rolling brainbuster.
HOOK would get a tag from a weakened Punk, and was quickly pulled to the floor by Cage and whipped into the barricade. Swerve was waiting for him in the ring, and immediately stomped his head.
Cage would get the tag and kept the pressure on the rookie, hitting a Shinjiro Otani style running face wash kick in the corner.
HOOK was thrown across the ring with a Hammer Throw, and Luchasaurus would be in next, slamming HOOK hard into the mat. The mugging would continue, with HOOK getting desperate for a tag.
Cage would catch HOOK as he tried for a running crossbody, doing bicep curls before tossing him overhead with ease. HOOK would manage a Head Capture Suplex on Cage, but was pulled away from a potential tag before Cage knocked Allin & Sting off the apron. HOOK hit another suplex, and made the tag to Punk.
Taking the fight to both Swerve & White, Punk hit a set of rising knee strikes, before a simulations bulldog and lariat. Punk would head up top for the Macho Man style Elbow Drop, before calling for the Go To Sleep. Swerve made the save with a rolling flatliner, but HOOK launched him with a suplex. Luchasaurus hit a chokeslam, and Sting caught him with the Scorpion Death Drop.
Sting took a chop block from White, but Allin was there to save Sting and hit a Code Red. Cage would hit the F10 on Allin, before Punk hit a Roundhouse Kick and the Go To Sleep. Locking eyes with Samoa Joe, Punk applied the Rear Naked Choke – ending the match.
The Main Event Is Over – But The Fight Rages On All The Way To The UK
Joe would be a man of his word, but the bell rang – and the main event was over. He would rush the ring and beat down his rival. Perry would go after HOOK, rushing to the ring.
Swerve Strickland was after both Sting & Allin, with Cage still out cold. It was complete mayhem, as three major matches for All In were being previewed.
Punk drove Joe into the barricade, and Cage regained his footing only for Sting to beat him with a Kendo Stick. HOOK & Perry would battle on the stairs, while Joe smashed Punk with his ‘Real World Championship’ – before leaving the fight.
