The Blackpool Combat Club is always itching for a fight, and set the stage for one at All In. Before Eddie Kingston went off to Japan for the G1 Climax, Wheeler Yuta and Claudui Castagnoli tried to injure him.
While he was in Japan, Jon Moxley battled the likes of Best Friends & the Lucha Bros. So when Kingston returned from Japan after competing in the G1 Climax – he would quickly make the challenge for Stadium Stampede.
What he didn’t expect was having to also fight some old friends in Mike Santana & Ortiz – who made a return to align with the BCC.
Stadium Stampede Starts With A Bang
Kingston would be the man to get this brawl started, rushing from the entrance tunnel and right at Castagnoli. In the ring, Santana & Otiz traded blows with Best Friends – with Chuck Taylor sending them to the floor and hitting a major dive over the top rope.
Yuta would attack him from behind, allowing Ortiz to use the trash can as a weapon. Moxley would attack the eyes of Taylor, while Kingston attacked the eyes of Castagnoli on the stage.
Penta would use a steel chair in the ring, before taking down Santana & Ortiz with Slingblades. Kingston & Castagnoli had brawled to the backstage area alongside Yuta & Taylor, while Moxley dropped Penta with a cutter. King Kong Lariat missed, but Penta was caught with the Paradigm Shift.
Penta was able to recover – and drove some skewers into the head of Moxley before the Made In Japan for a near fall. Kingston & Castagnoli had now gotten into the stands, and were brawling among the fans.
Moxley would stab Orange Cassidy with a fork in the ring, before biting his forehead. Cassidy took Death Rider onto the steel chair, and in the parking lot – Yuta suplexed Taylor onto a guard rail.
Santana, Ortiz & Moxley would set up a ladder in the ring, and Trent was powerbombed into it. A barbed wire board was grabbed next, and an X-Plex launched Trent into it back first. Not done with Trent yet, Moxley hit a piledriver on the steel steps, while Ortiz stabbed Cassidy some more.
Orange Cassidy Goes Hardcore
Sue would roll up to the match in her trust minivan. She armed her son Trent with a cookie sheet, and they would keep battering Santana & Ortiz.
The music for Penta Oscuro would hit, and Penta had went to the back and changed his gear – and would drive Ortiz through a table after a Destroyer from the top rope.
Best Friends would hug Yuta in the middle of the ring, before beating him into the mat. Yuta was spiked with the Awful Waffle, and Castagnoli would start to swing Cassidy around. While the spin was happening, Ortiz had time to set up a superplex through some tables at ringside.
Cassidy would survive being spun, and hit a trio of Orange Punches – but was unable to pin the reigning ROH World Champion. He would tape up his fists and dip them in a bucket of glass – ready to hit the most dangerous Orange Punch of all time – but instead took the Swiss Death Uppercut.
Kingston would march to the ring with a barbed wire steel chair, smashing Castagnoli before being forced to hit the Uraken on his friend Jon Moxley and drive him through a table. Cassidy would hit the glass infused Orange Punch – and pinned Castagnoli for the win.
Hikaru Shida Makes Up For Lost Time As A Pandemic Champion
Hikaru Shida never got her time in the spotlight as AEW Women’s World Champion. Her first reign was during the pandemic era, with only meager crowds allowed in Daily’s Place seeing her defend.
When given the chance to win the AEW Women’s World Championship for a second time off Toni Storm, Shida would not let anything stop her.
Now, she enters the biggest match in the history of the AEW Women’s division – defending the championship infront of a crowd of over 80,000 fans against Britt Baker, Toni Storm and Saraya – and a chance to show everyone just why she remains one of the best wrestlers in the world, regardless of gender.
Saraya got a big entrance for her first UK match in seven years, flanked by her family and with We Will Rock You by Queen blasting.
As the match began, Saraya & Storm would quickly work together – taking down Shida with a powerbomb. Baker would be set up in the corner for the running hip attack – but Saraya & Storm couldn’t decide who gets to pin her.
Shida would take advantage, but while punching Storm in the corner – left herself open for Saraya to whip her down to the apron.
Baker would hit a Slingblade, but Saraya sent her to the floor with a big boot. Saraya’s mom held Baker in place and Storm would wind up for a big strike, but caught Saraya’s mom – who was ready to get in the match herself.
Saraya Scores Big At All In
Saraya would go after Storm in the ring, trading forearm shots with her factionmate and being dropped. Storm would rip off the bottom corner pad, and set up Saraya for the hip attack.
Ruby Soho tried to talk some sense into Storm, which allowed Shida & Baker to recover and get back into the match. Baker hit a superkick on Storm, who fell into a two count on Saraya.
Saraya would apply the P.T.O on Storm, only for Baker to take advantage with a Curb Stomp to Storm for a near fall. Lockjaw was teased, but Shida took Baker down.
Saraya would take the Katana Kick, before Baker would look for the Lockjaw on Shida. Shida was able to block into a pinfall, before Saraya would spray Storm in the eyes with the spray paint and hit the Good Night for the victory – winning the AEW Women’s World Championship in her home country.
