Kayla will come in to the hospital to check on a patient. She will introduce herself and ask for his name, but he will smile back and tell her that he was hoping she would tell him his name as well.
This scene sets the theme of Dick Van Dyke’s storyline on ‘Days of Our Lives’. It seems his character is suffering from amnesia since he cannot remember his name. In the preview video, he tells Kyala that he is “on a very important mission” but says nothing about the mission.
Perhaps, he cannot remember details about the mission since he probably has amnesia. He might also be suffering from a medical problem that is causing him to be out of touch with reality. We can only watch and find out about this mystery man.

Dick Van Dyke’s filming with ‘Days of Our Lives’ has been complete for quite some time, but the production has managed to keep his story line well under wraps. DOOL spoilers, however, tease that he cannot remember anything about his identity or his past, and the police will get involved in his case.
It seems it’s Jada who brought him to the hospital for a check-up. Fortunately for him, Kayla and Marlena will be willing to help him remember his identity and past, but it won’t be easy.
It may also involve a thrilling mission. In the preview, Dick’s character tells Kayla that he needs to leave the hospital as soon as possible.
So, we may see him escape from the medical facility. We will also see Steve and John lending their support in helping the mystery man remember his identity and mission!
