‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep it rolling with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
There’s plenty going on in Genoa City as some self fulfillment prophecies will be set in motion and a new Newman war is brewing. Oddly enough, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is the one to set this one in motion.
Let’s get to some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, September 13: Victoria plots her revenge
Victor has a phenomenal analytical mind, but he fails to understand people at their core, especially his own family.
He also can’t accept responsibility for when he messes up and instead looks to tighten his grip to force things into his point of view.
So after his plans to force his children to work together failed, he restructured Newman Enterprises on how he thinks it’ll run better and that will include demoting Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to his COO.
Victor taking over won’t be accepted well, and despite Victoria’s exemplary record he won’t care. For him, it’s less stressful to be there controlling things directly rather than allowing anyone free will.
This will lead to Victoria plotting her revenge to overthrow him, which will include making her father look like he can’t manage the company.
This could be the start of a redemption story for Victor to face up to his mistakes, but we doubt it. It feels more like he’s being set up to be toppled by his children and if so good for them.
Although to be honest, “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers would prefer she leaves and starts her own company, but then Victor will probably sabotage it to force her back with him and she knows that.
Plus, she’s exactly like he is and won’t take being ousted well.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, September 13: Nikki steps up
With Victor taking over, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will take on the role of mother bear as she’ll threaten to destroy Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)’s life if he doesn’t give him his latest plot to hurt Victor.
It looks like Adam’s sincere and her threat will only galvanize him to prove himself and it could lead to him being the only offspring Victor can count on.
That will be a twist we didn’t see coming, and it should be interesting to see if that’s their plan or if the writers have something else in mind.
