CM Punk Has No Intentions To Sue AEW & Tony Khan, Wants To Move On With Life

The split between All Elite Wrestling and CM Punk was a messy one. It came after Punk got into a backstage fight which nearly derailed the biggest show in the companies history.

While it started with Jack Perry, it would quickly expand and lead to Punk lunging at boss, Tony Khan. A suspension was quickly announced, and within the week – Punk would be fired from the company. While it initially seemed like Punk might take legal action – this will not be the case.

CM Punk Simply Wants To Move On With Life, Glad To Be Away From The Drama That Followed Him In AEW

In a report from Haus Of Wrestling, it would be made clear that Punk doesn’t intend to take legal action against Tony Khan or AEW at this time. Nick Hausman would publish the following.

“Considering how Khan said his life was in danger during Punk’s backstage altercation at AEW: All In London, many people asked me whether Punk could be considering action, and I am told that is not the case.

From what I gather, Punk is looking to avoid any further litigation and move on with his life. He was described to me as someone breathing a sign of relief now that he is away from the day-to-day drama that seemed to follow him at AEW.”

It should be noted that inside Wembley Stadium, CCTV cameras are everywhere. Punk attacking Khan was caught on camera as a result – which would derail any case potentially thought he had in regards to his termination.

Both AEW & Punk Are Moving On

Backstage issues would arise for Punk starting in 2022, following this acclaimed feud with MJF. It was issues with Hangman Page that seemingly started everything, combined with his lingering issues with Colt Cabana.

Things would simply balloon from there, to the point where Punk was starting issues with the likes of Christopher Daniels, Ryan Nemeth and Jack Perry.

Beyond the incident that led him to be fired from the company, the other major issue that will linger in the minds of fans came almost a year to the day of All In.

All Out 2022 will remain infamous for years to come, after Punk would rip into The Elite at the post-show press conference, before getting into a locker room fight that led to everyone involved being suspended.

At the end of the day, this seems like the finish of Punk & AEW. Both are simply moving on, and only Punk himself knows what will come next for his career.

In AEW, they have already completed moved on from Punk – boosting Swerve Strickland, Ricky Starks and Hangman Page to the main event level again to fill his boots.
