When Bobby Lashley would unite with The Street Profits – the Smackdown Live roster had a big issue to contend with. They would quickly take the fight to The Judgement Day, Brawling Brutes, OC and now the LWO.
In mid September, after a victory over Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde – The Street Profits would keep the beating going, even catching Rey Mysterio. Now tonight – these factions meet in a grudge match – with The LWO looking to teach Lashley, Ford & Dawkins a lesson in respect.
Santos Escobar & Rey Mysterio Enter A Handicap Match
Santos Escobar & Rey Mysterio would come out – and Zelina Vega would be in their corner, but Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro were beaten down last night on Smackdown Live.
This put them at a three on two disadvantage, but Escobar would take the fight to Montez Ford early with a diving crossbody. Running double knee strike in the corner would be thwarted – and Ford would hit a chopblock to the knee of Escobar.
Angelo Dawkins and Lashley would isolate Escobar from Rey Mysterio, with Lashley punishing Escobar using a delayed suplex.
Dawkins would hit a spinning splash into the corner, before taking a dropkick to the face, and Mysterio got the tag. Using his speed, Mysterio would try to break Dawkins down – but one big blow shut the WWE Hall of Famer down.
Ford would whip Mysterio hard into the corner, and Lashley would follow suit after a tag – but missed a shoulder tackle. Escobar would almost get the tag, but Ford ripped him off the apron at the last second.
Zelina Vega would make Ford pay – as Mysterio hit a Spinning DDT in the middle of the ring. No tag option was available – as Mysterio crawled to the corner.
Carlito Is Back In WWE
The music of Carlito would hit – and the third member of the LWO was here – getting the tag. Carlito is a standout of the Ruthless Aggression era, and has only gotten better with age.
He’d get the tag and rush the Street Profits down. Dawkins was sent to the floor, where he was hit with a West Coast Pop.
Lashley would try to regain control, but Escobar hit The Arrow From The Depths Of Hell to take him out. Carlito would hit the Backstabber on Ford in the ring – and scored the victory. After the bell, he would hug it out with the LWO – officially joining the faction.
