It’s a great time to be in Bullet Club Gold – with Jay White currently holding the AEW World Championship like it’s his own.
Having beaten down MJF and stolen the belt, White is ready to make that official at Full Gear later this month. However tonight, it’s Juice Robinson & The Gunns in action – as they face down a luchadore trio of Metalik, Gravity and Angelico.
Jay White Has Not Seen MJF Since Dynamite
Gravity would start with Austin Gunn, and was punched right in the jaw before he’d drop the slow mo act and hit a fast arm drag. Metalik would meet Robinson in the ring, hitting a Slingblade Bulldog for a near fall.
Colton Gunn would hit the ring alongside Gravity, and regained control with ease. Robinson would stomp on the hand of Gravity before sneezing on him and hitting the jumping senton.
Austin would hit some jabs before the Shake Rattle and Roll. Angelico would hit the ring and used his agility to attack Bullet Club Gold. A tag to Metalik would see BCG regain control, hitting 310 to Yuma and the implant DDT for the victory. White would take the microphone, and would say that he expected MJF to at least try to get his title back – but there’s been nothing.
Turning his attention to Hangman Page, who he faces on title Tuesday – White would declare this is an eliminator match, because White is the champion until proven otherwise.
He would point out the record is 0-3 between himself and Page – making victory all but ensured. Nowhere during this promo would we see or hear from the real champion MJF – who is seemingly hiding scared until Full Gear.
The Acclaimed Crush The Iron Savages
The Acclaimed are quickly proving to be dominant as the AEW World Trios Champions. Having defeated the likes of House of Black, Planet Jarrett, and most recently Butcher, Blade & Sabian – they are becoming undeniable.
However tonight, they face an extremely hungry team in Iron Savages – who are quickly gaining popularity with AEW fans, and could be just three seconds away from holding gold.
Jacked Jameson would flex in the ring, and Billy Gunn would take this as a flex off challenge. However, Jameson would get the sneak attack – and forced Gunn into the corner.
Bronson got the tag and was punched in the jaw – before being dropped with a strike. Bowens would get the tag and traded blows with Bronson, but a tag to Boulder saw him outgunned.
Bowens was sent to the floor for a senton from Bronson, before a rear chinlock was applied in the ring. Boulder would ensure Bowens was unable to complete a tag, by taking Gunn off the apron with a right hand – but left Caster.
The tag was completed, and Caster would hit Attitude Adjustments on both Boulder & Bronson before a diving crossbody on Jameson for a two count.
Iron Savages hit a double chokeslam, but Bowens broke the pinfall up. The Acclaimed would hit Scissor Me Timbers on Boulder. Jameson took The Arrival & Mic Drop – and that’s another victory for The Acclaimed.
