WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. Sasha Banks comes out holding a pop-out picture of Lacey Evans’ daughter Summer. She of course faces Lacey in a Women’s Money In The Bank qualifying match up next.
Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans (Women’s Money In The Bank Qualifier)
At the bell, Sasha quickly takes Evans outside, dodges a shot and Evans hurts her hand! Sasha is focusing on the hand to neutralize the Women’s Right! Sasha hangs Lacey up in the ropes, tries for her double knee drive but Evans avoids it, sending some big boots. Charging knee. Lacey tries for the Springing Bronco Buster but she can’t post on the top rope due to the injured hand, Sasha rams Evans’ shoulder into the post and stomps that hand against the LED! Goes up for a big Flying Meteora for a nearfall! Hammerlock cinched in, Evans fights her way up, back elbow, snapmare right into the corner! And there’s the Springing Bronco Buster but it targets the back! Evans goes out there and just slams Banks’ face into the ringpost over and over and over!
Lacey back into the ring, forces Sasha up to the top rope. Sasha fights back, they battle it out, Sasha grinds the boot against the bum hand to get an advantage! Escapes underneath her, powerbomb for a nearfall, rolled directly into the Bank Statement! Evans rolls through to break. Backslide for a 2 count, Sasha just kicks right at that injured hand. Hits the ropes – Lacey with the Woman’s RIght! Delay on the cover due to injury, Bayley places Sasha’s leg on the bottom rope to stop the count! Lacey yells at Bayley, the ref is distracted by the interference as Sasha rolls Evans up. She has her down for more than a three count, when the ref turns around Lacey finally kicks out. Banks immediately starts arguing with Bayley, turns right around into another Woman’s Right and there is the win.
Winner: Lacey Evans
Not a bad match but a very, very WWE finish. Afterwards, Sasha is obviously none too pleased with Bayley. They back up the ramp to the stage. Tamina emerges and lays Bayley out with a Superkick! Sasha basically has no reaction to this whatsoever and just watches as Tamina backs up, Bayley is comically spread eagled. Lacey of course happily celebrates in the ring.
