WWE Monday Night Raw rolls on. MVP is talking with Bobby Lashley backstage and putting him over. Says Drew McIntyre shouldn’t be wasting time with kings when Lashley is deserving of a WWE title shot. Asks when was the last time he was fighting for the WWE Championship? Answers for him, it was back in 2007. Says after all these years he’s back here in the same location inside his own heads. Asks Lashley when he’s gonna let Lashley out. Calls it a rhetorical question and wants him to marinate on that. MVP walks a few feet away and encounters Lana, tries to suggest she keep away from Bobby. Lana has a hilariously melodramatic and over-acted reaction to this. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross emerge and sit in the ring, ask how crazy it is that Becky Lynch is having a baby. Nikki says the Man becomes a Mum! Nikki wishes a belated Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and expecting mothers. But as she’s saying this, the IIconics interrupt. This is a bit of a different show eh? Peyton Royce and Billie Kay come out and ask if they’ve forgotten something iconic. Alexa tells them not to get their panties in a twist and welcomes them to Monday Night Raw. Nikki does a riff of the IIconics gesture.
Alexa says the timing on this is funny and asks how crazy it is that a baby stole their thunder? They said a ginger junior is not going to upstage them. Asking what’s a big deal about being a baby? They’ve all been babies, Nikki still acts like one. Alexa tells them to relax, they’re still a big deal, kind of. They demand a Women’s Tag Team title match now. Alexa and Nikki find this offensive as they haven’t earned it in the slightest which is true. Nikki says that just like the baby in Becky’s stomach, the titles are their babies! IIconics say fine, don’t put the titles on the line but they want a match all the same. Because they are the future of Raw and they are IIconic!
It looks like impromptu matches are the name of the game tonight because the IIconics will indeed face the champs in a non-title match up next after the commercial break. It’s nice to see them again but man is this abrupt.
