Another Wednesday means another episode of Dynamite! As always, you can expect the same live AEW Dynamite results as always, plus links to in-depth recaps of the show! Watch this space!
Segment 1: In the opener, Matt Hardy and the Young Bucks took on Joey Janela and Private Party in a trios match. During the match, the Bucks got in an altercation with the Butcher and the Blade, and Marq Quen went down with an injury. Hardy and the Bucks won the match and Matt Hardy helped Quen to the back afterwards. This left the Bucks alone in the ring for an attack from the Butcher and the Blade, until shockingly the FTR made their debut and made the save! They left before accepting a handshake though.
Segment 2: In his Dynamite debut, Brian Cage absolutely demolishes Lee Johnson. Taz then warns AEW World Champion Jon Moxley that Cage will rip his heart from his chest.
Segment 3: Britt Baker is rolled out on a wheelchair that says “Roll Model” on the back and declares herself a conspiracy victim, with the conspirators being Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose and Aubrey Edwards.
Segment 4: Orange Cassidy bugs the Inner Circle backstage. AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida defeated Kristy James in a non-title match.
Segment 5: Cody comes out to celebrate his TNT Championship victory. He cuts a promo thanking the fans for greatly breaking projections for the Double or Nothing buyrate, and talks about how he feels in-depted to repay them for it by delivering. So he promises to defend the TNT Championship every week, calls this an open challenge. Sounds like a US Open style thing gonna be starting.
Segment 6: In a pretty major upset, Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian defeated Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian of SCU.
Segment 7: A battle royal is held where the winner gets the first shot at Cody’s TNT Championship next week! Jungleboy outlasts the likes of MJF, Wardlow, Billy Gunn and more before last eliminating Orange Cassidy to get the win and the shot!
Segment 8: We cap off the show with the Inner Circle pep rally. The five of them exchange heart-felt, goofy gifts until we get to what Jericho truly wants: Mike Tyson’s head on a platter! He calls Tyson out, he comes to the ring with his posse, a shoving match ensues and Tyson and Jericho have to be pulled apart!
