WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues, we now have an impromptu bout between Drew Gulak and AJ Styles!
AJ Styles vs. Drew Gulak
AJ and Gulak fight as the bell rings, Styles takes him into the corner and hits a knife edge chop. Gulak with a jawbreaker, hits the ropes, AJ leap frogs, ducks under, wants the dropkick but Gulak avoids this – Chicken Wing and Fishhook! AJ gets to the rope for the break, but Gulak pulls him away and gets a crossface for a moment, Styles again forces the break in the ropes. Takes Gulak to the corner, shots to the face and legs. Pulls him out, snapmare, kick between the shoulder blades! AJ pulls Gulak up, Snap Backbreaker for a 2 count! Styles hoists him up onto his shoulders, Gulak escapes – boot up on a charge, but AJ counters a charge with a big clothesline! Styles with a chinlock, Drew fights out of it, batters him into the corner!
AJ ducks a shot though and chops him into the corner. Whip to the opposite corner, Gulak evades a charge, clothesline, back elbow, dropkick takes him to the corner! Charges for a clothesline, pulls him out for a Release Fisherman’s Suplex! Michinoku Driver for a nearfall! AJ with a rake of the eyes to dodge another suplex, does his little Bodyslam setup for the Reverse DDT! Eyes Daniel Bryan as he sets up the Styles Clash – but Gulak surprises him with a Jackknife Cover for a win!
Winner: Drew Gulak
AJ is stunned as Gulak and Bryan celebrate the upset. They make a big deal over how this will affect AJ’s confidence going into the IC title match next week. Bryan and Gulak shake hands.
We now see Miz and Morrison actually leaving their limo and going up to Braun’s car. It’s a Buick, one of a kind apparently. Miz says it’d be a shame if something happened to him. They identify a fly on the windshield. Miz says it’s a good thing he’s been working on his golf game… he takes a golf club to the windshield and it shatters with suspicious ease! Morrison has a baseball bat, talk up how Braun’s dad is in the Softball Hall of Fame. Miz fakes tossing a pitch and Morrison swings, just making a real mess of that windshield. They walk away laughing about how pissed Braun will be.
