Two weeks ago, Timothy Thatcher went to war with Oney Lorcan, and left him sobbing in pain. He’d win with the Fujiwara Armbar, and just apply more pressure after the win showing that Thatch-As-Thatch-Can wrestling is the best around. After another vignette hyping him up earlier in the show, he’d look to claim another victim, He didn’t just want the win, he wanted to make them suffer. The school of hard knocks would be in session, and Denzel Dejournette would be the student, while Thatcher would seek to teach him a lesson.
Timothy Thatcher Punished The Rookie
Dejournette is as experienced as you get while still being a rookie. He’s a standout amateur wrestler, has faced former WWE champions in Seth Rollins & Jinder Mahal, but Thatcher is another beast. Dejournette would try to bring his skills to the table and try to out wrestle the submission expert. He’d succeed for a bit, winning the scrambles. However, Thatcher wins on his feet. He’d grab the arm and club the back. Dejournette would somehow regain control with a headlock, but was on the defensive all the same. Thatcher would grab the leg, apply a single leg crab and Dejournette would tap out quickly. Once he got the hold in, this one was over, simple as that.
Oney Lorcan Wants More
Much like after his match with Lorcan, Thatcher would go after Dejournette again and reapply the hold. Before the referee would change the decision, someone came to the aid of Dejournette. This was Oney Lorcan, who might be beat up, might be bruised and injured, but still wants to fight. He’d run Thatcher off, save Dejournette, and make his intentions clear. One more match, one more fight.
Their last clash was incredible, but this time we need higher stakes. We’ve seen a straight up wrestling match, and while a submission match would suit both men, it might already be time for another Fight Pit match. Do you think Lorcan & Burch will meet in the match that wrote Matt Riddle out of NXT? Should it be a street fight or Last Man Standing match instead?
