A few years back in WWE, few could dispute how entertaining Enzo Amore & Big Cass were. They would get the biggest crowd reactions on any given night, with Enzo’s fast paced promos being frequent highlights, being able to get just about any catchphrase over with fans.
He would even go on to breathe some life into 205 Live following a break from Big Cass. Beating the dominant champion Neville (now PAC in AEW) for the title, he’d become the focal point of 205 Live and bring some storyline into the brand. Things were looking up, until everything went wrong for him.
While champion, he would be accused of rape and released from WWE due to this. The accusations would be proven to be unfounded, but the damage to Enzo would be done. A failed debut for Ring Of Honor at the joint show with New Japan Pro Wrestling would signal his last major show in wrestling.
Luke Gallows Sees Good In Enzo Amore
As he is part of Talkn’ShopAMania, Luke Gallows clearly has some hope in his former WWE colleague. Gallows & Anderson would clash with Enzo & Cass during their time in the company, and they remained friends since.
While speaking with Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc., he’d talk about the controversial Enzo Amore.
“There are no right decisions when it comes to Talkn’ShopAMania, only wrong. But I think Enzo adds something to the show. Enzo is very charismatic and very misunderstood. As much as Enzo knows as an entertainer, he probably has a lot to learn about the wrestling business, we’ve tried to help him along because he’s had some bad follies that I think weren’t necessarily his fault.
I think he got thrown into wrestling and doesn’t understand how a lot of things work. But I think deep down he’s a good human being and I think he’s got a good heart. I don’t think he’s out to hurt anybody. And he entertains the sh*t out of me.”
Talkn’ShopAMania will be the next big chance for Enzo, who just recently had a match teaming with Brian Pillman Jr., and facing Ricky & Kerry Morton for KFW Wrestling. All his post WWE matches have involved Pillman Jr in fact, but that’s only four matches total.
