Otis’ legal problems
Backstage, Otis was saying how he was sick and tired of dealing with this over and over. He was approached and served with a lawsuit.
Tucker told Otis that Miz and Morrison were suing for emotional distress, unsafe work environment, Wanton destruction of personal property, and that they’re claiming Money in the Bank negligence.
As if this isn’t silly enough, they also claimed Dirt Sheet is a news program and Otis violated their first amendment rights.
Otis said he hates the news (who doesn’t?), and Tucker told him he needs a lawyer. Basically, Otis has one week to forfeit the MITB contract or they’ll take him to court.
Otis said, “Tucky, we’re in trouble,” to which Tucker replied, “I’m sorry, buddy, but you’re in trouble.”
This was goofy, but WWE Smackdown Results enjoyed it. It was a cook bit of comic relief the night needed.
Big E’s return
King Corbin and Seamus were backstage talking about their match and Corbin mentioned how much damage his scepter can do when they were approached by a security guy.
Seamus praised him for the way he set Big E up a few weeks back, and the guy told him someone was towing his car.
Sheamus ran to the parking area and approached Big E in a jacket and hat with his back turned.
When Big E turned around, he went after Sheamus. Sheamus took off after taking a couple of shot, so Big E turned his attention to the guard for setting him up.
The guard didn’t get away as Big E pounded on him, bounced him off an equipment case, a garage door, and another case with plenty of punches and kicks before he threw him on a car to put him through the window.
Officials ran out, but Big E hit with a belly-to-belly suplex through the car window, then threw the guy into the trunk.
Adam Pearce told Big E he has to leave and Big E backed away, calling for Sheamus to keep running.
