You can catch up with all the results from the exciting night of action here.
UFC Fight Night Results: Sandhagen Continues Excellent Run
The main event of the evening at UFC Fight Night this past weekend was Cory Sandhagen vs Marlon Moraes. Fans were finding it difficult to predict a winner from the bout, but there was a stunning victory for Sandhagen as he won via KO/TKO in the second round. The victory means that Sandhagen now has improved his record to 13-2, while Moraes has now slumped to 23-7-1.
It was a welcome return to winning ways for Sandhagen, as he went into the fight after suffering defeat against Aljamain Sterling in June last year. However, his performance was awarded as the Performance of the Night, with his spinning wheel kick and punches securing the win for Sandhagen. It will be interesting to see what could be next on the agenda for the Sandman after the victory.
UFC Fight Night Results: Barboza Wins In Co-Main Event
Edson Barboza also had a victory in the co-main event, as he inflicted a fifth defeat on Makwan Amirkhani. This fight went the distance, with the judges awarding the win to Barboza by unanimous decision. The victory means that he ended a run of three straight fights without a win. This victory also meant that Barboza had won for just the second time in three years.
Meanwhile, there were also wins for Marcin Tybura, Dricus Du Plessis and Tom Aspinall on the main card. The latter two fighters won by KO/TKO against Markus Perez and Alan Baudot respectively. There was also a success in the featherweight division for Illia Topuria as he continued his excellent 100% record with a decision victory over Youssef Zalal. The big fights just keep coming in the UFC, as next weekend’s card will be headlined by Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung.
