Friday night means that we will be getting a fresh episode of SmackDown this evening. The blue brand has been consistent over the past couple of months, and the draft has certainly seen SmackDown coming out looking like the A-show. Tonight promises to be another entertaining night of action, but what could we expect to see during the show tonight?
WWE News: Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens Join Forces
Roman Reigns is at the centre of everything that is great about SmackDown at present, and that has continued since he has enlisted the help of his cousin Jey Uso. The past two weeks have seen Uso continue to obey the orders that have been given to him by Reigns, with the first of those weeks seeing Uso put Daniel Bryan through a table.
Last week Uso claimed a win over Kevin Owens after an interference from Reigns, and we expect that we haven’t seen the last of Owens and Bryan against the Uso and Reigns. The two will likely join forces on SmackDown tonight, as they look to end Reigns’ dominance on SmackDown.
WWE News: Big E Joins Team SmackDown
Big E hasn’t quite been given the push that many were expecting at present, but there will be signs of that changing tonight, as he is added to the SmackDown team for Survivor Series. He will likely have to win a qualifying match for the right to join the team.
But, it makes sense for the former New Day member to be part of the team, as he isn’t currently engaged in a storyline on the blue brand. It makes sense that he fills the final spot, and we are looking forward to seeing Big E share the ring with Keith Lee.
WWE News: Women’s Survivor Series Team Takes Shape
The men’s Survivor Series team is nearly complete, but there are still three spots up for grabs in the women’s team. We will likely see a few of those spots filled during tonight’s show. Bayley may be one of the superstars inserted into the match after she declared this week that she is done with Sasha Banks and her pursuit of reclaiming the women’s championship for now.
Also, it would make sense for Liv Morgan to also join the team, as her tag team partner Ruby Riott has already earned her spot. However, the third spot may not be decided until next week.
