Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese have been the gatekeepers of 205 Live for the bulk of the year. They’re the originals on 205 Live, and wanted to keep the brand safe from newcomers. Tonight however, they face the team who had the first match in 205 Live history in The Bollywood Boyz, who simply don’t see eye to eye with Nese & Daivari’s approach. This match could have been just what they needed to finally get along.
Bollywood Boyz Show Their Chemistry
Nese would start with Sunil, and would quickly look to isolate him but forget that as far as 205 Live tag teams go, they’re in there with the pros. Bollywood Boyz quickly got the advantage after Daivari tagged in, showing their superior chemistry. They’d almost get the Bollywood Blast early, but Sumir had to dive into Nese to keep him down, taking the attention off Daivari.
Sumir would be run through with a lariat as he turned, and Nese threw some clubbing crossface blows. With Sumir slowed down, Nese could showcase his power with a torture rack and backdrop driver, before Daivari came in to keep the pressure going. Nese would miss a diving dropkick and get Daivari instead, and Sumir was able to make the tag.
It Takes One Moment For Tony Nese To Get The Match On Track
Sunil ran Nese’s head into the corner and came off the top with a double axe handle. A big neckbreaker, atomic drop and spinning heel kick got a two count, and Nese barely escaped a double backdrop to tag in Daivari. Bollywood Boyz had a superkick party and hit the Bollywood Blast, but Nese saved it before tripping up Sunil and dragging him out of the ring.
He’d run a distraction on Sumir, letting Daivari hit the Uranage in the ring, while Nese nailed the running knee on the outside. Daivari got the persain splash, and this one was done. This is a big tag team win, and could finally help give Nese & Daivari a touch of momentum going forward.
