He’ll be making his way to the NXT UK brand very soon, likely as part of the next tapings. WWE knows this 22 year old is a big deal, and has hyped him up as such. Will he make his debut winning some gold?
Jordan Devlin Is Making Every Match He Has A Title Match
After several months on the shelf thanks to the United Kingdom being shut down by COVID-19, Jordan Devlin is making up for lost time. He views himself as the one true Cruiserweight Champion, having been the one to take the belt off Angel Garza earlier this year. But without a steady stock of defenses, his claim isn’t as strong as it should be. To remedy this, any time he steps into that ring for a singles match with someone under 205lbs? The belt is on the line.
This sets up one of two outcomes. Devlin remains champion for a while yet, and proves he belongs on top. This would set up Santos Escobar vs. Jordan Devlin to unify the two NXT Cruiserweight Championships in what would be an epic match. The other outcome is that Devlin gets cocky with what he views as an upstart entering his ring.
A Way For Ben Carter To Make A Quick Impact
With a nickname like ‘The Prodigy of Pro Wrestling’ and having been trained by Seth Rollins, Ben Carter is entering NXT UK with great hype. He also enters NXT UK in the perfect weight class to challenge someone like Jordan Devlin, a man he’s never faced in his two years as a professional wrestler. All the ingredients are here for not only another great match NXT UK, but something they could cast as the biggest upset in NXT UK history!
Ben Carter & Jordan Devlin could be a fantastic feud to both establish Carter, and allow Devlin to move beyond the Cruiserweight division. He’s a man who’s taken NXT UK Champion WALTER to his limits in the past, and could be the one to take the championship off him finally.
