WWE aired Raw last night, and there were a number of different talking points that came out of the show. The night was dominated by one superstar. Without Alexa Bliss, the episode of Raw would have fallen on its face last night, as there was once again a lack of real storytelling and engaging stories to keep fans engaged. But, what three things did we learn from Raw last night?
WWE Raw News: Bliss Likely To Challenge Asuka
Many people were questioning whether it set the right tone that Alexa Bliss and Asuka competed in a singles match on Raw. However, we certainly learned a lot from the match, and it looks clear that Bliss is going to compete against Asuka for the Women’s Championship at some point in the future. Bliss called upon The Fiend during the match, as she overpowered Asuka in one of the most stunning matches that we have seen on Raw for some time.
In truth, we haven’t seen Asuka beaten as easily in WWE, which could also set the wrong tone for the current champion. It will be interesting to see where the WWE heads next with this story, but Bliss did confirm during the episode that she would be entering the Royal Rumble.
WWE Raw News: Gilberg Returns On RawThere was an entertaining skit in the middle of the show, as The Miz and John Morrison hosted the Dirt Sheet.
However, it did make the WWE Universe get excited, as the segment saw the return of Gillberg. It’s fair to say that some fans may have been more excited to see him as opposed to Goldberg.
There was also a Drew McIntyre-character that appeared during the segment, but it was The Miz that made the bold closing claim, as he told the two men that he would be the next WWE Champion. That statement clearly indicates that The Miz could be planning on another cash-in sometime soon.
WWE Raw News: Ric Flair Aligns With Lacey Evans
There has been no secret that the WWE have been planting the seeds for Ric Flair to align with somebody against his daughter Charlotte. And, we finally learned last night that it will be Lacey Evans that Flair will be tutoring.
There are a number of different routes that the WWE could travel with this angle, as Ric and Evans are certainly looking for the mental advantage after Evans came out wearing one of Flair’s robes last night. It could reach a breaking point during the Women’s Royal Rumble match, with Evans eliminating Charlotte.
