Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re all set for the Go Home episode for the Royal Rumble Pay-per-view.
What does Roman Reigns have planned for Kevin Owens after last week’s attack? Who will fill out the remain 30 spots in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match?
The answer to these and more will hopefully get answered tonight.

Segment 1
Daniel Bryan started us off with the same speech as last week but with some additives about the Royal Rumble being the only thing he hasn’t won yet.
AJ Styles interrupted him, citing the new quarterly rules, and after an exchange Bryan challenged him to a match later tonight and promised he’d beat Styles.
Segment 2
Bayley vs. Bianca Belair
This started off pretty slow as Bayley took her time to work on Belair’s left arm, but Belair continued to fight back, forcing Bayley to head to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
A really good match with plenty of back and forths ended when Belair hit a KOD for the pin.
Segment 4
King Corbin vs. Dominik Mysterio
This was another good match as Dominik came out more aggressive and even attacked Corbin from behind on his way to the ring.
Unfortunately for the Mysertios, Corbin hit an End of Days for the win, but Rey dropped him with a sit down senton when Corbin tried to attack him after the match.
Segment 5
Reginald gave Sasha Banks a bottle of wine from Carmella, saying it’s the best kind to go with her losing her championship.
Banks gave it back to him after asking what’s the best wine for Carmella after Banks breaks her jaw.
Segment 6
Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens had an interview from separate rooms, and Reigns eventually got around to calling Owens, his father, and grandfather fools for not knowing their limitations.
Owens promised to be the Universal Champion after Sunday and left the room.
Segment 7
Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles
Styles sent Omos to the back so he could face Bryan one on one, and they had a great match up to when Sami Zayn came out.
Styles took advantage of the distraction to knock Bryan off the apron, then throw him into the rig steps as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
This was a great match until the WWE got involved.
Big E came out and went after Zayn, then Big E and Cesaro got into it.
In the ring, Zayn then hit Bryan from behind to get Styles the DQ win, and Nakamura came out.
Cesaro, Zayn, and Styles were thrown from the ring as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
Big E, Daniel Bryan, and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, and Cesaro
At least they waited this long to bring on a gimmick match.
It’s pretty good so far as everyone has had a chance in the ring, and Styles slammed Bryan’s left leg into the ring post as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
This match ended in DQ when the Miz and John Morrison came out and took out Nakamura and then Big E.
Otis then came out and cleaned both their clocks. Another tag match next?
Segment 11
Big E, Daniel Bryan, Otis, and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, The Miz, John Morrison
This was a cluster mess as it was five on four with Bryan taking most of the punishment before Sheamus came out as the impromptu fifth man.
SHeamus cleaned out and countered Zayn’s Helluva Kick with a Brogue Kick for the win.
More Chaos ensued as Miz, Morrison, and Styles attacked Sheamus, and Braun Strowman came out and cleaned house.
After hitting a couple of running powerslams on Cesaro and Zayn, the show ended with Strowman apparently in the Royal Rumble.
We know this mess was supposed to prepare us for the Royal Rumble, but it felt more like a waste than not.
It’s great to see Strowman back and Sheamus in action, but two gimmick matches with practically no rules really hurt this show for us.
As for energy level, it was definitely there at the end, even if nothing that happened made any sense.
