WWE Smackdown Results noticed the locker room came out to the ring to welcome back Seth Rollins. Is another Messiah speech on the way? We don’t like where this is heading.
With everyone gathered, Seth Rollins came out to his old music. A red herring perhaps? We hope he stays a heel. He’s far better in that roll, in our opinion.
He came out dressed in leather (faux leather most likely) from head to toe and climbed into the ring.
Cheers were piped in, so guess he’s a face again?
Rollins started off by saying it feels good to be back. It’s where he belongs.
He said a lot has changed since he sacrificed himself at Survivor Series, and in his absence that changed the most came as a surprise because it’s him.
He said he’s become a parent for the first time and he’s the proud father of a beautiful, perfect baby gilr and she’s changed his life in ways he never could’ve dreamed up.
His new perception has given him a new vision, and when he looks around he sees some of the most talented performers in history and wondered where does he fit in.
It became very clear to him and he is the great leader that Smackdown needs to push it into the future to make it greater than it already is.
Messiah 2.0
As he borrowed from John f. Kennedy, the wrestlers left the ring side and headed to the back.
He said he can be their mentor and all they have to do for a better tomorrow and a better Smackdown is embrace the vision.
He then turned around and saw only Cesaro remained. Rollins told him he knew he’d get it and understand his vision.
Cesaro shook his head and told him he doesn’t think so and that Rollins hasn’t changed before he started to head to the back.
Rollins ran out of the ring and took Cesaro down by his knee and proceeded to beat him down while telling him he’ll never live up to his potential without him.
Daniel Bryan came out to help along with several officials and Rollins retreated to the other side of the ring by the announce desk.
WWE Smackdown Results are glad Rollins is staying a heel, but did they have to use 95% of hit Messiah turn on Raw? This was seriously déjà vu-ish and could’ve been handled completely different and possibly better.
