Got a special intro for this episode… we see Tony Schiavone outside a plane? He says coming up tonight is the signing for the main event of Full Gear, Cody and Dustin emerge from the plane. Hands are shaken, the brothers hug. Tony and Cody walk the tarmac as Tony says it’s more than just another match. They make their way into a limo.
We see Mox rampaging through the hallway and he has a conversation with Tony Khan behind closed doors. He announces that due to the violence, they have to make it a lights out match. Moxley is furious because it doesn’t count to the win/loss record, accusing Khan of not wanting to have a win over his boy. Says what happens to Omega now is on him.
We’re in the arena now, Excalibur and JR by themselves as Schiavone is in the ring. They plug the Rick & Morty crossover, no idea what that’s actually gonna be.
And our first match tonight will be Hangman vs. Sammy Guevara! Sammy gets impressively big heat! In addition to “he calls himself ‘The Best Ever”, Justin Roberts has now added, “They call him ‘the Spanish God'” to his intro.
Hangman Page vs. Sammy Guevara
Maybe the loudest crowd to start yet, with a big “Let’s Go Hangman” chant. Bell rings, tie-up, fighting into the ropes. Clean break from Hangman. Big boot ducked, swing from Sammy ducked, big chops from Hangman. Vicious knife edge! Whip to the ropes, big boot lays Sammy out! Page with an arm wringer, big suplex for a 1 count. Back suplex attempt, Sammy counters into a side headlock, back suplex anyway but he lands on his feet, leap frogs, dropkick, takes a bow to a massive amount of boos! Snap suplex for a 1 count, huge “Sammy Sucks” chant.
Sammy backs him into a corner, chop, Hangman reverses him to the other corner, just slaps him across the face. Pump kick! Goes up top, crossbody, Hangman catches him, Fallaway Slam, kip-up! Mocks his taunt on the way up, clotheslines him to the floor! Throws him into the ring, goes to the apron, but Sammy slips back outside, trips him onto the apron and Hangman lands hard! Sammy throws Hangman into the barricade, he ends up sat up against the chair. Throws him into the ring, Hangman throws a chop but it’s weaker now and Sammy just fells him with a punch. Hoists him onto his shoulders, does the Bate pump but it actually looks difficult, gets the Samoan Drop anyway for 2!
Guevara goes up top, milking the reaction… and then he just shoots to the mat and slaps him as hard as he can in the face! Huge heat as he mocks the crowd, until Hangman stands furious behind him… turns him around, big shot to the chest, superkick from Guevara but Page toughs it out for a lariat! They’ve both collapsed as a chant of “AEW” breaks out! Standing 10 count from Rick Knox. Hangman winds up his arm, charge in the corner, solid clothesline. Shoots him to the ropes, vicious big boot, Sammy staggers, Page gets him with a back suplex! Sammy rolls onto the apron. Hangman pursues, hoists him up, gets him up for the Dead-Eye! Sammy escapes into the ring, Inverted WWE Headkick! Sammy goes to the apron, runs up but Hangman catches him, Sidewalk Slam onto the apron!
Back in the ring, Pop-Up Powerbomb from Page gets a nearfall! Page throws Sammy to the floor, goes up top… big reaction for the moonsault to the floor! Throws Sammy into the ring, big chant of “AEW” as Page throws the elbow pad! Wants the Buckshot, Guevara slides away, big heat. Page enters the ring… spinning back fist from Sammy is ducked, gets a Bicycle Kick but Page bounces back for a Discus Punch, taken to the apron, Hangman springs in for the Buckshot Lariat and that is that!
Winner: Hangman Page
Well that ruled! Page has matches like that in front of crowds like this more often, making him into a star is gonna be easy! “AEW” chant as Page takes up a mic afterwards. He says it ain’t no secret that things haven’t gone well for him lately… but tonight felt good! And at Full Gear, there’s gonna be some real Cowboy Sh*t and he’s gonna take PAC’s head off! “Cowboy Sh*t” chant breaks out and that’s all the promo he needs.
Commercial where we see the arena in the inset. Just showing replays looks like.
Rock ‘N Roll Express meet Private Party backstage. They give the legends their necklaces.
Lady named Shanna makes her way out, nicknamed Portugal’s Favorite Athlete. By the way, the ringposts have a green vortex pattern and some of the ring pads have the Rick and Morty logo on them.
Shanna vs. Hikaru Shida
Lock-up, Shanna with a waistlock, Hikaru reverses, Shanna turns it into a wristlock, Shida reverses, Shanna turns it into an arm drag, gets another, spinning kick to the gut, flip neckbreaker for a 1 count! Shida with a kick to the stomach, Shanna reverses a whip and sends her to the floor. Shanna hits the ropes, Shida to the apron, knee to the chest cuts her off! Shida looking under the ring, gets a chair, sits it up, runs off the damn chair like Sabu and hits a huge flying knee, fierce! Throws her into the ring, knees her against the middle rope. Shida scoops her up into a backbreaker for a 1 count.
Shida targets the lower back with clubbering blows, running knee into the corner. Cover for 2! Shanna with body shots as she struggles to her feet, Shida cuts that off with knee lifts to the chest! Applause for the work. Hooks her, Shanna reverses with a cradle for a nearfall! Shida gets up and she’s mad, furious shots to the head and back. Pulls her up, hooks her again and wants a brainbuster, Shanna blocks, eats a big right hand for her troubles! Shanna lays in chops as we go to commercial, match continues in the inset. Shida cuts her off with a running rana. Shoots her to the ropes, Shanna counters with a flying headscissor of her own!
Shanna hits the ropes, big running forearm for a nearfall! Shanna hooks the arms, Angel’s Wings for a nearfall! What a thing to do during commercial. Can’t hear ’em of course but they kindly cut to people applauding the efforts. This crowd appreciates wrestling a lot, heh. Shanna up top, Shida cuts her off and pursues. Shanna throws hands, exchange up top, Shida wants a superplex… headbutt from Shana puts her in a tree of woe! Shanna with a brutal double foot stomp to the face! Narrow nearfall, that one just about had me! Crowd disputes the count a bit, before chanting “AEW”.
Running punt to the ribs from Shanna. She slaps her in the back of the head as she pulls her up, double underhook, wants another Angel’s Wings, but Shida gets her onto her shoulders… Dudebuster! Damn! Shida can’t cover though and Shanna rolls to the ropes to ensure she doesn’t get pinned. Chant for “Shida” as she goes up top. She grabs Shanna’s wrist, pulls her to the bottom rope, superplex into the ring! Cover in the middle for another super close kickout! Shida hits the ropes, Shanna counters a running knee with a roll-up, 2 count, Shanna tries a Dragon Suplex, countered into a victory roll, Shanna reverses into a cradle of her own, man what a close kickout! Shida hits the ropes, evades Shanna’s blows, big running high knee! Falcon Arrow, another nearfall! Shida hits the ropes as a “This Is Awesome” chant starts, Shining Wizard finishes things off!

Well that was casually great. Literally neither of these women were advertised at all as far as I knew and that rocked anyway! Charleston making a great case for getting a repeat visit!
We see a clip from last week of Brandi Rhodes attacking Jamie Hayter. Clips of Brandi putting on a black gown, a weird ritualistic vibe to this video of her and Awesome Kong. We then seemingly flip back to reality with her staring at herself in the mirror.
Chris Van Vliet is on the stage, introducing the Rock ‘N Roll Express to a hearty ovation! Out they come with the AEW World Tag Team Titles, playing them like guitars. Chant of “Rock ‘N Roll”. Chris asks how it feels being back in Charleston. Big reaction. Robert talks about beating Ole and Arn Anderson right in this building… but before they can say anymore, Santana and Ortiz come out and jump them! Whipping him with a sock loaded with something. Putting on leather gloves here, this ain’t looking good. Morton is held by the arms, big shot to the midsection, the heat is intense. Ortiz picks up the tag titles, parades around with them… tosses them onto the stage. Double powerbomb sends Morton right through the stage!
Young Bucks emerge to run them off, but tragically late it seems! Supportive chant of “Rock ‘N Roll” as medics and referees swarm in.
We return to see two jabronis from a previous ep, in there with QT Marshall.
We then cut to Tony and Cody in the ring, Schiavone talks about how he’s reminded of Tuscon, Arizona in the late 80s, he was with Dusty and had an interview with Willie Nelson. Knocked on Dusty’s room, he said come in, he was buck naked. Dusty asked if Willie was already in the pool and when Tony said ‘yes’, Dusty agreed to come out because the star always comes out last. So they’re making Jericho work. Cody talks about the judges, and that his mother is coming to the show, he thinks about all the shows where his mom saw his dad. And he can’t help but want to impress her. Finds it a funny thing to fixate on, but something about it’s grounding him. He’s shared rings and locker rooms with Chris for years so he knows how good he is. Tony talks about the emotional embrace between him and his mother and says emotions are good, says with his mother watching, he should let that drive him. He’s glad to be right there with him.
Rick & Morty introduce the Best Friends and Orange Cassidy as they’re cosplaying the titular characters. JR is made to say ‘wubba-lubba dub dub’. Amazing. “Freshly Squeezed” chant.
Best Friends & Orange Cassidy vs. John Silver, Alex Reynolds & QT Marshall
Chuck starts with Silver, gets a shoulder block. Tag to Trent, double whip, double tackle! Trent’s wig falls off but he gets it back quick. Trent with a power knife edge chop. Silver escapes a wrist lock and tears the wig off! Superkick! Reynolds and QT rush in to take his partners off the apron, big heat! Silver whips Trent, and all three of his team gets clotheslines in! Silver with a big charge, Trent evades, Springing Tornado DDT! Tag to Chuck, clotheslines, pulls QT in for a Standing Shiranui!
Silver evades a charge, tag to Trent, rising knee from Chuck, Running Dropkick from Trent… he’s handed his wig back, Sole Food/Half-Dragonplex! Trent gets the wig back… hug is about to commence but QT gets between them to huge heat! And now… in comes Orange Cassidy! BRUTAL LEG KICKS! Ducks a clothesline, dropkick takes him out of the ring, kip-up! Ref puts his sunglasses back on, Best Friends with the group hug! Cassidy with a no hands tope onto Reynolds and QT, Missile Dropkick/Dudebuster combo finishes things! Chuck whips his wig off without hands as the three count is made!

I probably don’t have to tell you that everything got way over here, huh?
Contract signing time! Chris Jericho makes his way out, table’s on the stage! Puts the title at the center, Jericho has a great purple suit with a bunch of orange jack-o-lanterns on it. Cut backstage to see Cody and Tony leave the limo. Trekking through the parking lot into the arena. Chant of “Cody” as his music hits. Out he comes to a big response. Tony gets a cheap pop talking up Charleston and gets the contract signing underway. Chris stands after his name is spoken and the heat is too much for Tony to keep talking.
And the contract is thus slid to Cody, loud chant of his name as he looks it over. Signs it to a pop! Slid to Jericho now, even this gets heat. Jericho looks it over… smacks the paper down and jumps to his feet, Cody does as well and Jericho laughs as he gets a mic. “Got you on that one, didn’t I? This match is too important…” he starts, chant of “You Suck” cuts him off. Jericho says they can chant it all they want he doesn’t care, so it gets louder. Says he doesn’t suck, Ski-avone sucks. Tells Cody this is the biggest match in AEW history, biggest match in pro wrestling this year and the biggest match of Cody’s career because if he wins, he’ll get to be what he always wanted to be, the world champion. Another loud chant for Cody. Jericho says, “But if you lose, it might prove to you all these entitled millennial jackass here tonight… (BOOO) that maybe you’re not as good as you think you are, man.”
Says he’ll sign the contract and teach him a lesson of what it’s like to be a loser. Inks his name and again makes like he’ll jump at Cody. Cody is up and whips off his jacket. Jericho says “Calm down, hillbillies” to thunderous jeers. “Asshole” chant emerges. Jericho says we have two gentlemen here signing the contract, not making a mockery of the world championship. Says he is Le Champion and Le Champion has poise and grace and class and that’s why he’s offering his hand… and Cody takes it! Shake… Jericho turns, Cody pulls him in close, stares him in the eye.
Staredown is intense with a loud “AEW” chant… Jericho says we can stand here all night but you might be needed elsewhere.
Just behind them, we see Sammy Guevara on the screen. And he turns the camera to show Jake Hager assaulting Dustin Rhodes in the parking lot… knee to the groin, just like in Bellator! Rams his head into a car! Just stands there stoically… closes the car door against Dustin’s hand! Yikes. Dustin is on the pavement clutching his hand, Cody rushes out there along with MJF and they chase Sammy and Jake off. Jericho and the Proud-N-Powerful are there too, making their way into a stretch SUV of sorts.
Commercial, we see Dustin being tended to in the inset.
Kip Sabian and the Hybrid-2 out as we come back.
Omega’s entrance is Undertale themed… talks about Kota fading and all his other friends will fade too. “Join us and your friends will fade forever.” This is shown with a very New Japan logo looking face. sans saves the day, throwing a sock at the logo and telling it to put a sock in it. Out Kenny comes in a sans cosplay, to Megalovania! Meanwhile the Bucks are here in their Ken & Ryu outfits. Their opponents jump them before the bell!
Kip Sabian & The Hybrid-2 vs. The Elite
Bell rings, Sabian with a springboard senton onto the Bucks on the floor, lands on his feet! Evans and Angelico meanwhile double team Kenny in the ring as a “Kenny” chant rings out. Kenny ducks a double clothesline, basement dropkick trips them both up! Hopping bulldog takes them both out but Sabian’s in to cut him off, but Bucks make the save, double team dropkick! Enziguri/Back Elbow, double Enziguri, double foot stomp from Nick!
Loud chant of “The Elite”, Kenny wants to start the Terminator clap but Evans and Angelico pull the Bucks out of the ring. Evans with a springboard capoeira kick! Double back flip tope takes out Omega! We finally have some order now with Sabian and Matt as the legal men, Kip gets Matt up top, knocked off to the apron, only for Kip to get a springboard rana for 2! Quick tags and isolation begins, Hybrid-2 with a double whip on Matt slamming him against the corner. Combination back suplex/doublefoot stomp! Angelico has an arm-wringer headscissor combo in until Kenny comes to break it up. Commercial break.
We come back in time to see Nick spear the hell out of Kip Sabian, Matt with a running kick to one of his partners, crowd is going wild, springboard splash and standing moonsault combo gets 2! Commentators talk about a reverse figure four that was applied to Omega during the break that let him injured, in the ring, Sabian gets a huge Poison Rana! Both men laid out. Matt gets a big clap-along for his brother, simultags! Kenny ducks a kick from Evans, Dragon Suplex! Angelico off the top rope for a Rana, avoided, Dragon Suplex! Chop to Sabian, tries the Dragon but Sabian elbows out, clothesline ducked, Dragon Suplex nailed! All three men stand in the corner… triple Flair Flop!
Kenny with the gun taunt, wants a V-Trigger but Evans avoids, Evans stands off a German, Nick with some superkicks, Angelico with an upkick enziguri cuts off! Sorry, I was never gonna get every spot on this… Evans with a big flip tope onto Nick on the floor, Kenny comes in with a big V-Trigger to Angelico! Kenny slaps the mat, Terminator Clap commences! Kenny hits the ropes, Sabian cuts him off! Throws him outside, now Sabian’s in there alone mocking the Terminator Clap. Hits the ropes twice, huge tope, but the Elite catch him, TRIPLE POWERBOMB ONTO THE APRON! Daaaaaaaaamn!
Kenny runs in, Evans blocks, springboards in for a Triple Superkick!! Kenny with the finger gun, V-Trigger nails hard to Evans! Hoists him up… One Winged Angel! And you bet that is that.

Hoo! Fun stuff as expected. This show is flying by.
As they celebrate, Santana and Ortiz reveal themselves in the front row, drag the Bucks into the stands and lay them out! Kenny notices, jumps the barrier and chases them off! Feels like we’re making up for lost time, lot of angles happening now. But it works for the late hard sell as we get closer.
DYNAMITE DEBUT OF THE LIBRARIANS! Peter shushes us as they make their way out. Peter says it’s Halloween time which means it is now appropriate for all the hideous monsters in the crowd to look the way they do. Peter says it makes sense wrestling hasn’t been here in 20 years, this place is rotten! As he runs them down, we see Jon Moxley emerge from the crowd! He’s into the ring, immediate Dirty Deeds! Not even worthy of the full Paradigm Shift, Avalon rolls to the floor as the crowd chants for Moxley!
Mox has his hands on a mic now… says everyone wants to see the grudge match at Full Gear, Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley, and it’s now an Unsanctioned match. Mixed reception. That means no time limits, no count outs, no disqualifications… but it also means officially this match doesn’t even count. Officially, this match will be stricken from the record books, technically it’s not even taking place. There is heat for this. Mox explains that means when he beats your boy Kenny Omega, everyone will pretend like it doesn’t happen. Says AEW wants to treat him like a freak, like an outsider, put him in a little box so he won’t cause any trouble, he knows what’s going on. Mox talks about suits coming up and saying they know he’s a different kind of cat, like he’s stupid, like he doesn’t know what that means.
Says AEW can take their win/loss records and shove them up their ass! Says he’s the baddest man, sickest son of a bitch around… they want Unsanctioned?! Well he’s unsanctionable! Mox says “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Be careful what you wish for!” Promises to beat Kenny Omega within an inch of his life! You will see beautiful, glorious, wrestling violence like we haven’t seen in this country in decades! Kenny’s blood will be on the hands of AEW. He’ll tell them the same thing he’ll tell anybody that doesn’t like that he marches to the beat of his own drum; “Kiss my ass, and get out of my way.”
We come back from commercial to see the two tandems in the ring! Introductions get a big reaction, titles are looking gorgeous, let’s go! Private Party watch from the front row, Dark Order watch from backstage on a human throne. Dueling chant loud as hell as we near the starting bell…
AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals: Lucha Bros. vs. SCU
Bell rings, Kazarian and Pentagon start, exchanging hands and chops! Scorpio and Fenix can’t help but come in too and the brawl is on! SCU win out and pose, double superkick from Lucha to Kazarian, Scorpio gets a Tiger Feint Kick from Fenix, Backstabber from Pentagon! Kazarian in, Pentagon Driver gets a quick nearfall! Pentagon strips off the glove, sets up the Package Piledriver, Cero Miedo, but Scorpio cuts him off from the move, tussles with him, Pentagon with a slingblade! Kazarian with a waistlock, Penta elbows him, Fenix with a rope run and kick to the face! Penta with a cradle for a narrow nearfall!
Tag to Fenix, they chop Scorpio in the corner as Kazarian is caught in the opposite one… they whip him, but Scorpio monkey flips Kazarian into a double clothesline! Kazarian with a haymaker to Fenix. Dueling chant starts, Lucha definitely louder. Springboard legdrop to Fenix, Penta comes in to break up the pin but Kazarian evades and Penta ends up kicking his own brother! Whips Penta to the apron, guillotine legdrop onto the second rope from Kazarian, Penta on the outside gets a flying rana off the stairs from Scorpio! Spinning back kick from Scorpio to Fenix, leads to a German Suplex from Kazarian for 2!
Kaz wants a suplex, Rey blocks it, gouging the eyes, wrist lock, spring on the ropes ducking Scorpio’s shots, lucha arm drag! On the outside, Penta pops Scorpio up, he lands on his feet on the steps, leaps off into a superkick. Fenix back body drops Kazarian to the floor, Penta with a scything leg kick! Double leg trip, holds him onto his knees catapult style, Fenix with a springboard elbow drop to complete the double team! Commercial break, match continues in the inset. Penta throws Kazarian into the ring, leg drop from Fenix for 2. Isolation in the corner commences.
Penta with a leg kick to Kazarian, Fenix throws Scorpio into the barrier. Stomp away at Kazarian in the corner. We come back to see Scorpio frustrated trying to get into the ring as Aubrey holds him. Crisp dropkick from Fenix to Kazarian, cover for 2. Singles out an arm, transitions to a triangle choke, Kazarian rolls to the ropes… escapes, Fenix chops him to his corner but Kazarian is fighting his way out. Blocks a blow, Angel’s Wings for CD! Scorpio wants the tag and he gets it! Scorpio rushes in, clotheslines, leaping back elbow to Fenix, big dropkick to Pentagon! Back body drop, to the apron, but Scorpio with a flying headscissors takes Penta to the floor, ducks a clothesline from Fenix and gets a big tope! Fenix with a baseball slide takes him down, on the apron, Kazarian with a flying rana takes Fenix to the floor but Kazarian landed on his head on that apron!
Still in the ring, Kaz hits an assisted DDT! Scorpio with a huuuuge tornado DDT to Fenix, for a nearfall! Scorpio hooks Fenix for the SCU Later, Penta breaks it up, Springboard Destroyer to Kazarian! Scorpio with a big boot, hits the ropes, gets caught with a cutter for a nearfall! Fenix hoists Scorpio to his feet, “This Is Awesome” chant, simultaneous crossbodies leave them both laid out! Penta grabs the boot of Kazarian off the apron, “CERO MIEDO” pulls him off for a powerbomb through what seems like a timekeeper’s table!
Two on one now, Scorpio fighting both off in the ring, hits the ropes, superkick from Penta, Fenix off the shoulders of his brother for a huge splash! Nearfall very close, crowd was really feeling that one! CERO MIEDO once more, Kazarian somehow crawling into the ring as they setup the Missile Dropkick/Package Piledriver combo, Kazarian cuts off Fenix as Scorpio reverses into an Inside Cradle and that is that!
Winners: SCU
Scorpio and Kazarian the first ever AEW World Tag Team Champions! Penta justb ehind them as they celebrate, has to be held back, leaves in a huff. Hoisting the titles high… awesome stuff!
