WWE Raw Results liked the introduction of Kevin Patrick to the interview team, and he was given a fun first interview with AJ Styles.
He started to ask AJ Styles about what’s happening, and Styles shifted it to what’s happening with The Fiend, Alexa Bliss, and Randy Orton.
Styles said burning the Fiend was the worst thing he could do, then he and Omos laughed at him and the magic involved.
Randy Orton came up and asked if Styles thinks it’s funny to have a man’s mind messed with and Styles said it’s weak.
So, Orton challenged him to a match, and after Styles said he’ll have bigger problems and he accepted to a match later tonight.
This is unexpected, but we can’t help but expect the Fiend or Alexa Bliss to appear anytime Orton does anything, so we’ll see.
Xavier Woods w/Kofi Kingston vs. Shelton Benjamin w/Cedric Alexander
This should be a good matchup, and to start it off Benjamin forced Woods through the ropes and to the floor on their initial lockup.
Woods reentered the ring and Benjamin shoved him into the ropes, and Woods came off them and started landing blows on Benjamin.
Benjamin hit a knee, and then ran into a spinning heel kick off the ropes for a pin attempt.
Benjamin hit a reverse suplex and a body slam before whipping Woods into the corner and hitting another body slam.
Benjamin then locked in a reverse chin lock, and Woods tried to fight out of it but Benjamin hit another body slam.
He whipped Woods into the other corner tossed Woods onto the apron, then hit with a couple of knees when Woods was partway into the ring for a near pinfall.
Benjamin slapped on another reverse chin lock, but Woods hit a jawbreaker and then alternated with rights and chops before sliding under Benjamin to avoid a clothesline.
Woods hit him with a forearm, and then slipped out of a slam attempt into sunset flip for a pin attempt.
Benjamin hit with another knee, but wasted time jawing with Kingston and Woods rolled him up in a small package for the win.
This feels off to WWE Raw Results as Benjamin and Alexander feel more like their previous selves the last couple of weeks.
We love the New Day, but hope the Hurt Business retains their tag championship next week. It just feels right. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
