In a time long past, there was a powerful faction known as RINGKAMPF. They treated the mat as a sacred place, and dominated the UK. This faction has now become what NXT fans know as Imperium. WALTER, Fabian Aichner, Marcel Bartel, and Alexander Wolfe are the current members, and they have their eyes on a straggler from Ringkampf in Timothy Thatcher.
Thatcher has a tag team partner these days in Tommaso Ciampa, and doesn’t need his old friends. Tonight, Ciampa & Thatcher will meet Bartel & Aichner, and Ciampa has eyes on a potential match with WALTER. However, Thatcher was a no show. Ciampa assumed that Imperium took him out, and promptly started to hunt the faction down. Wolfe fell first, and by the time the bell would ring, he pledged that only one member would be standing.
Tommaso Ciampa Starts His War On Imperium
He made this reality as he took Aichner out with a chair before the bell. Bartel was left, and had to take on Ciampa in a singles match. Ciampa fought off a rear waist lock with a back elbow, before Bartel hit a few uppercuts. Bartel took some chops, before taking Ciampa down with a headlock takeover.
Ciampa would have his arms trapped as Bartel hit some quick punches, before moving into the chinlock. He might be facing a former NXT Champion, but Bartel is no slouch. Some heavy back elbows and a double underhook suplex threw Ciampa, who came back with a knee strike.
He’d send Bartel over the rope and try to set up Willows Bell, but Aichner made the save with what energy he had left. Bartel took control again and hit a low dropkick, before yelling into the camera for Thatcher to “Step in line!”. Ciampa caught his second wind and hit a big German Suplex on Bartel, sending him to the apron and allowing Ciampa to hit Willows Bell for the win. He took 99% of the offense in this one, but it only takes three seconds to win a match.
WALTER Is Back
Things got real when after the match, Imperiums theme hit, but it wasn’t Wolfe. WALTER is back in the USA, and his 700+ day reign as NXT UK Champion came with him. Imperium would swarm Ciampa, and WALTER nailed a chest splitting chop. He asked for WALTER, and he got him. WALTER nailed a powerbomb, and Ciampa was down.
