Jade Cargill was undoubtedly impressive in her AEW in-ring debut, where alongside NBA Legend Shaq, she was able to get a win over Red Velvet & Cody Rhodes. Shaq might have been a one off for AEW, but Cargill is back tonight for another match in the AEW Women’s division. Her opponent will be Dani Jordyn, and while Cargill is still a rookie, the odds remain in her favour.
Cargill would make her entrance while Jordyn was already in the ring waiting for this one. Jordyn hasn’t been on Dynamite for 490 days apparently, and has a 0-2 record in 2021. However, this is only Cargills second professional wrestling match, and her first ever singles match. That could be what dooms her tonight.
Jade Cargill Wins Her First Singles Match In Record Time
Cargill would walk into this one with all the confidence of a veteran, but took a back elbow strike to the nose. She’d come back with a leg lariat, showing some explosive speed. A release German Suplex would follow, Jordyn almost ending up outside of the ring. She’d nail the Jaded, and this one was through in record time.
After the match, Cargill would get in the face of Red Velvet, who was not impressed at ringside. Red Velvet is currently ranked #1 for the AEW Women’s division, mainly due to a hot streak on AEW Dark. It’s clear the issue between these two won’t be cleared up just from the mixed tag team match.
This was a show of how dominant Cargill can be when faced with a lower card opponent, but someone like Red Velvet will give Cargill an actual test within the ring.
