Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
Tonight should be a fun one as we’ll see the aftermath of WWE Fastlane when Roman Reigns and Edge face off.
Add to that is the possibility of Daniel Bryan will be added to the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania.
Let’s get to the action!
Daniel Bryan started the show off by coming out to the ring with a steel chair in hand. Can’t say he’s not prepared for a confrontation.
Bryan started off by saying everyone saw the truth, the reality, and something Reigns said would never happen when he made Reigns tap out.
He reiterated that Reigns never tapped out and how he said last week he’d rather die than tap out. He said it’s great news because Reigns is alive and tapped out to Daniel Bryan.
He went on to say that in a perfect world that would mean he’d be standing in the ring as the Universal Champion and knowing he was heading to the main event at WrestleMania.
Neither of those are true because as he was making Reigns tap out Edge hit him across the back with a steel chair like the one he held.
He pointed out how Edge told him he should stand by and let everyone have their dream match of Edge vs. Roman Reigns, and he’s tired of standing on the sidelines and he’s tired of everyone getting a dream match they didn’t earned.
He said he earned the championship, to main event at WrestleMania but he didn’t get it.
He said he’s willing to earn it and he wants a rematch against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship tonight and he refused to leave the ring until he got what he wanted.
Bryan then set up the chair and took a seat in the middle of the ring and after a couple of minutes we headed to commercial.
Still waiting
Back from commercial and Bryan was still sitting in the ring waiting.
Bryan remained sitting after a recap of is demand was played. Adam Pearce came out and told him he can’t give him a rematch tonight.
Bryan asked if he didn’t see Reigns tap out, and Pearce said the referee’s decision is final and Reigns’ next defense will be at WrestleMania and against Edge.
Bryan then said how about he immediately faces the winner of their match immediately afterwards and Pearce said that’s unfair odds.
Bryan laughed and pointed out how it’s okay for him to do that and called out the double standard.
He then said that since it’s two night Reigns and Edge face off on night one, and the winner will face him on night two.
Pearce seemed to think it over, but Edge’s music started so he could come out and whine. He knocked the microphone out of Pearce’s hand and headed to the ring.
Edge grabbed a mic and said that for the last month he watched Bryan acting like a knight in shining armor and said this is everything he worked ten years for.
Edge ran down how he earned his shot and accused Bryan of trying to take his moment away.
Edge continued his unhinged rant as he told Bryan he doesn’t deserve a title shot. Bryan took him down and hammered away, but Edge got loose and hit him with a spear.
Edge then grabbed the chair Bryan had and nailed Bryan with the chair before tossing it aside and slinking out of the ring.
Reigns’ orders
Roman Reigns was in his dressing room watching and instructed Paul Heyman to bring him Adam Pearce and Heyman headed off.
Reigns told Jey Uso to use force if he has to, and when Jey asked if he’s sure, Reigns asked, “What’s he going to do? Fire us?
That could be an interesting question and WWE Smackdown Results are surprised they haven’t gone that angle yet with anyone. We’re sure it’s coming, though.
