Franky Monet has been hyping up her in-ring debut for weeks. The former Taya Valkyrie is set to take the NXT Women’s division by storm, and tonight we finally see what she is capable of in WWE. Her opponent will be Cora Jade, and is sure to give Monet a test tonight.
Franky Monet Dominates Her Debut Match
Jade would be quickly powered into the corner, with Monet showing her power edge. Monet took a moment to mouth off to Jade and took a boot to the face. It didn’t take her long to regain control, driving Jade into the corner before a running double knee strike to the back, hip strike to the face. Monet slid across the ring before nailing a second knee strike, and letting the moment sink in.
Jade would take a kick to the stomach before a knee lift and a pummeling lariat. Monet again took too much time being cocky, but Jade’s weak offense would just anger her before being run through with a spear. A Blue Thunder Bomb set up a Glam Slam, and this one was over.
Bronson Reed Isn’t Dropping The Belt Anytime Soon
Fourteen years was the journey to his win last week, when he ended the latest NXT North American Championship reign of Johnny Gargano in a steel cage. He got the customary ‘You deserve it’ chants, and was grateful to hear it. The road here wasn’t easy, it was fourteen years of not just climbing the mountain, but a lot of falling and getting back up.
Many people told him that he couldn’t do it, but he proved that hard work does pay off. Anyone who wants to take the belt from him has a colossal mountain to climb. Santos Escobar with Legado Del Fantasma backing him hit the ring. He can’t relate to Reed, because he was born for greatness.
Escobar wants the NXT North American Championship, to further prove that he is the emperor of Lucha Libre. It belongs to him, as he is the embodiment of Mexico in NXT. They’d surround Reed, but MSK evened the odds. Reed & MSK stood tall, and it’s not hard to see the six man tag coming.
