WWE has become very stale lately, anywhere you go, there is criticism of the current WWE product. NXT is most likely the best thing to watch in WWE, so we are going to be looking at Raw and Smackdown.
Easily the best story in WWE at the moment is the Roman Reigns and the Usos. It can’t be a coincidence that one of the only factions in WWE is one of the best stories. Asking the question, could factions save WWE’s very boring and overused stories?
Story Progression
The story told through these fractions is one of the best things. A faction feud seems to be a lot easier to match up. This being due to the fact that there is the possibility to match up more wrestlers in the same feud making the match feel a lot more interesting. Even deeper there is in feuds within factions where a member of the factions has a longer ongoing feud with a member of another faction.
All these elements add to a long time feud with a lot of different possibilities for matches. This could also lead to massive matches between factions to end the feud. It is also a good way to stop 50/50 booking as whoever loses still looks strong if another member of the factions wins.
It’s been proven to work
Lastly, it has been proven that factions have worked in AEW. The current stories of AEW have built upon factions. There feuds within feuds and the current Pinnacle and Inner Cycle warfare is one of the best ongoing stories. It has had its bad moments but has also had its great moments.
There still seems like there is no signs of stopping but there are still a lot of matches to be had within the feud and it has already been going on for a while. It works on keeping feuds alive and ongoing but doesn’t make it stale. WWE could use this as there are a lot of feuds that feel like there should have been over months ago.
