AEW Dynamite has easily become one of the best wrestling shows in the world. It is now in its second year, and AEW are doing what was predicted by taking over from WWE Raw. In the latest episode, AEW pulled in a massive 1.15M in the ratings.
Raw viewers are getting record lows and on at least a monthly basis. It’s only a matter of time until AEW Dynamite surpasses Raw. There will always be the WWE and AEW loyalists, but even the biggest WWE fans are starting to turn on Raw, making it feel like a massive change is needed or overlapped.
Raw’s views will go up next week, most likely
The views will likely go up on Monday due to fans returning and now rumours of WWE bringing back old stars to pad out the roster to get extra views, but the ratings were dipping way before the fans weren’t able to come to matches.
It’s possible to come up with every excuse under the sun, but it’s now very likely after the next bump in Raw, it will sadly be just downhill from there on. WWE will have to change up Raw massively to stop this. Looking at the current products, it’s hard to even guess what they could do.
Raw is going down where Dynamite is going up
Before AEW went into the Pandemic period, it was at a high point where it was getting better. Raw, however, was still down in the ratings. It looks like that will continue to happen throughout the year.
It’s only a matter of months before we start seeing some even bigger signs of AEW overlapping Raw in the ratings. This obviously won’t be the end for WWE, but it will definitely hurt them and could possibly push them in a better direction. It also cemented AEW as a true competitor to WWE.
