Last week, we saw Million Dollar Champion LA Knight and his butler Cameron Grimes take on The Grizzled Young Veterans in a losing effort. Knight would abandon Grimes midway through the match, and be upset when Grimes was unable to defeat the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. Tonight, Knight gets into singles action to show Grimes what a winner looks like. Can he back up his talk?
LA Knight Tears Through Andre Chase
His opponent would be Andre Chase, who was knocked out of the first round of the NXT Breakout Tournament recently and is looking to get back on a good track. Chase would hit a big hop toss to Knight, but was dropped with a BTF cutter by Knight moments later for an instant win. Given how flakey NXT has been recent roster cuts, don’t be shocked if Chase is next after this quick loss.
After the match, LA Knight would try to get Grimes to shine his boots. Ted DiBiase would hit the ring to interrupt, quickly grabbing a microphone. He claims that Knight has gone too far, and that Grimes is a man of his word. However, Grimes can be doing a lot better things than being the butler of LA Knight.
Ted DiBiase Is A Gambling Man
Knight claims Grimes was born to be a butler, but everyone watching, in attendance, and in the ring knows this isn’t true. Things would get heated as Knight wanted to punch the legend out, before DiBiase told him to shut his mouth and went back to talking up Grimes. Grimes needs to follow his dreams and become a champion, and if Knight puts the Million Dollar Championship on the line once more? He’d be champion.
Knight has already beaten him twice, and will do it once again at NXT Takeover 36. However, when he beats him the third time, suddenly Ted DiBiase will be the butler of Knight. It was a very interesting stipulation, and DiBiases’ money is on Grimes.
